Kyiv to spend up to US$6 billion on weapons production this year

Ukraine has ramped up its domestic arms production as its troops face shortages of weapons on the battlefield. The rush to manufacture more arms follows long delays in western military aid as well as expanded Russian military spending which has given Moscow an edge on the battlefield. Kyiv now says it will be spending up 6 billion dollars on weapons production this year, to meet urgent needs on the frontlines. Megumi Lim gained access to some of the facilities scrambling to produce more.

No. 61 billion is US money reserved for Ukraine aid and managed by US government. 6 billion is Ukrainian money managed by Ukrainian government and reserved for procurement of weapons from Ukrainian Manufacturers. Ukrainian Manufacturers have capacity to produce at least 20+billion this year. Ukrainian officials requested investment into procurement of weapons directly from Ukrainian Manufacturers but only Denmark agreed so far. US government decided to procure weapons from US manufacturers not from Ukrainian manufacturers.

The US wouldn’t do it at cost when they help set it up America profits on the war, then they take there time to supply weapons packages, they don’t let Ukraine us the weapons on Russian soil. America don’t care if Ukraine losses they don’t want Russia to win. They United States used to be the leader of the free world but it’s not the case anymore the United States just profits builds it own military up in the process, Nato has never been more important I think.
