Her difficulty comes from her transitions from low to high, high to low, then low to high again. That’s 3 releases right there so she doesn’t need to do others such as jaegers and same bar releases if that makes sense

One time Jordyn Wieber came to my gym for a clinic thing and it was epic. One of my friends took Jordyn from the airport to her hotel so she got to know her. When UCLA came to Utah in probably 2017, Jordyn was standing to the side and fricken greeted my friend with her name!!!! And I was standing there too and she recognized me but obviously didn’t know my name. Then Kyla of course scored her ten and holy crap that was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Great Video, Not taking anything at all away from the record holders, in their day they were outstanding, what they accomplished can't be understated, as with most things in sports, Skills change, equipment improves, Training improves, Treatments for injuries improves, scoring changes, Safety improves, So I don't think you can compare Gymnast Today with those 10- 20-30 years ago, but recognize them for what they accomplished in their own eras and applaud them for it. Today it is Kyla Ross and Maggie Nichols who shine and have accomplished so much. As of today they both have 21, with a few meets left, So while I don't think they will pass 28 10's, (Hope they do), Again, what they have and will accomplish and what they have done for today's College Gymnastics can't be understated.

@williambingham34084 жыл бұрын
@@roomijsjeeee Not sure where your going with this, I understand there are so many Gymnast with exceptional talent that just don't get the opportunity to train, grow, excel and follow their dreams, for a number of reasons. When you look at it, so few colleges offer gymnastics or other sports for that matter, I think too much is invested in football and basketball and not enough in other areas which would give more people opportunities. I don't think enough is invested in our youth or enough is done to give them opportunities. One way that can change is by bringing attention, educating and promoting. That is why I said what they have done for today's Gymnastics can't be understated, it's what they have done that can be used to benefit others.

William Bingham I wanted to say that some gymnast should be as proud as gymnastics in the 80’s/90’s because those gymnast got training, yeah not the best training and equipment but atleast they got trained. These Tens really are perfect-Tens! How is it colleges still use use the old fashioned scoring systems? I've begun to learn the Olympic world team style scoring systems with these last Olympics it does make a lot of sense to identify the various difficulties and combine them with the performance.
@youarerien88742 жыл бұрын
It’s the point of college gymnastic, making skills the most precise and flawless as possible, with less difficulty. Otherwise, like in elite, we would see the rise of difficult skills and poor execution. Also the fact they compete so much make it impossible for these girls to compete each week a tone of hard tricks. It’s a different approach of gymnastics.
@devonsanchez82924 жыл бұрын
Why are the routines seem watered down? Is that normally how it is for collegiate meets?
@HikerChick24 жыл бұрын
Yes, I think they are doing level 10 gymnastics instead of Elite. That’s why it looks so easy.
@aquajosh3 жыл бұрын
Because they compete every single weekend for months, plus they do pressure sets in practice. You can’t do elite-level routines week after week after week in competition unless you want to completely destroy your body. That’s why elite-level gymnasts might compete only once every 2 or 3 months.
