I think mori did the climax better while kyla was more creative and definitely did the first parts better (more solid lows, had more variations, and original). Overall, I prefer kyla’s version though mori is also amazing.

Same opinion with no doubt in terms of power and high notes ni Mori. Pero overall yung technique na ginamit ni Kyla is much more difficult at yung arrangement ni Kyla ay approach nya lalo na yung emotions na binibigay ni Kyla is iba. Singing is not all about power kasi you need to look the overall impact. For me d lng dahil excited ka kundi yung hatid ng kanta sayo emotionally is really different talaga so Kyla ako.

Mori sang better compare to Kyla in this song. You can see Mori is more comfortable, relax and delivered the song beautifully especially the high notes but Kyla looks having a hard time hitting the high notes, look at how she moves her microphone. But they are both a great singer.

In this performance you would see that Kyla did not just sing this to impress. We would easily distinguish who is more skilled: technicality-wise, control and STYLE. She, incorporating melisma in every song she sings is really impressive. Runs that give the song very flavorful. Not to invalidate Morisette’s power singing, but in my honest and personal opinion, KYLA won. Others would say Kyla have struggled with high notes, I would say she’s not. It’s just that her belting technique is high-larynx placement that made her sound strained. You have to know that there are singers who would do that without being felt “hirap”. Notice that Kyla is doing it since early 2000.

Both had different takes on the song- Morisette’s was more powerful, you’ll feel the pain leaning more on the anger. Kyla on the other hand showed vulnerability, pain, melancholy. Her low notes, riffs, runs and even her high notes tells you the story of the song, and it affects you as a listener. In conclusion, both were great but I think KYLA did a better job, to think she was just sitting during the whole performance and wasn’t feeling well because she had colds/ runny nose, hence the tissue on her hand.

@Donna Empimo unique because of her chops, riffs, and runs also her emotive style of singing but, to be honest i felt more emotions from morissette it's because of her warm, pleading and hoarse-like timber, over chops and over micro runs the arrangement in Kyla's performance is not intertwined unlike mori's.... It's undeniably amazing that Kyla's tone is immaculate, it's too cold to handle but, mori's.. Is much more alive, warm, she shifts from lows to highs, light to heavy, soft to textured her voice has more elements it doesn't only stick to singing the highs or lows or whatever but her voice encompasses all.

We all know that mori has a powerful voice with gigil factor but for me Kyla is the best very soulful, eargasm. Iloveyou my queen of rnb.

KYLA wins for me, adding her own musicality/flavor/riff and runs and her unique voice to the song. I did not understand why the first guy voted for Kyla (don't know the language), but it'd be interesting to understand that. The two covers were not even close. To make an analogy, Kyla was like preparing 'Spaghetti with meatballs", but taking out the meatballs (it was supposed to be a power ballad type of song). Morissette was like preparing "Spaghetti with meatballs" , but adding a secret recipe to the sauce.
