THIS ! Even down to the grunting. Before the game released, I legit thought Aiden was Cranes sibling and he was out looking for him which leads him to Villedor. And I was bummed it was a completely different plot. I was very confused on why they got a voice actor very similar to Roger Craig Smith. You might as well brought Crane back.

Okay, so get this... Aiden is genetically enhanced. Strengthened with the volatile strand, but is only HALF as strong as the goat Crane. Aiden gets pushed around where Crane was surrounded by like 3 dudes all armed and he took off the arm of the main antagonist.

I liked seeing tolga and fatin again in the new dying light 2 gun update when they return with the Michael missing poster in the peacekeeper ship. They’re honestly both great characters that are a notable part of the series. I just hope techland don’t kill them off because they’re definitely very likable and chill with their weird but funny choice of words.

As much as I enjoy Techland referencing our beloved Kyle Crane in DL2, I also feel like it makes Aiden less of a great character. Especially when the NPC says he's "almost" like Crane.

Honestly I felt like that was the point. Because not only was Kyle Crane a hero, the first hero of the outbreak anyone knew really, but he didnt make it. He lost, in the end. He spread the outbreak, he became a night hunter. He was the best, and the best wasn't enough to survive this world

i mean to be honest kyle crane WAS a better man then aiden, almost everything he did was to help literally anyone and everyone who needed it and he never bat an eye, aiden however comes to villedor with an immediately selfish goal and does help the people there but not as selflessly as crane did. aidens still a phenomenal character though that has a backstory perfectly fitting into dying light with a likeable personality. crane was just simply a selfless badass with tungsten balls.

There is main mission that Aiden needs to restore a power from electrical substation and suddenly 3 peacekeepers approach him. If you look closely to their name, it says Nitaf and Aglot. Ok now just spell backwards and you will get Fatin and Tolga. I know that ain’t easter egg but I just found it cool. 😅

Good heavens above Jonah’s antenna voice line literally sounded like Roger as Crane. And yes I know Jonah said he tried to sound like Roger Craig Smith, but still, that voice line was insanely identical. I really hope Techland doesn’t keep Kyle’s fate a mystery any longer, even if it would hurt to hear.

@pol2299 Opening of Dying Light 2 says that Harran was destroyed but the GRE kept experimenting with THV anyways after which led to the outbreak that we experience in the 2nd game. It seems 99% likely that Harran was canonically nuked

@@ivanvenne Canon ending to The Following is Kyle turning into a Volatile. He doesn't spread it far, it was contained. But Harran was such a lost cause, they "wiped it from the map", it became an exclusion zone similar to Chernobyl. If you don't believe me, they make reference to Harran still standing with survivors still trapped inside the walls before DL2 takes place and BEFORE the THV Virus spreads across the world.
