The story at the beginning is hilarious to me as someone who just auditioned for a shitload of colleges and sang Corner of the Sky

To me, that line, "children fit in the snow" makes me picture kids making snow angels. That's what it always meant to me, though I have no idea if that's what the songwriter had in mind.
