Mbappe was not stronger in 2022 then in 2018.

Mbappe is lucky enough to play both along and against the greatest of all time. That's how he can be inspired into the path of greatness. Messi also started with Ronaldinho at his side. Bruce Lee started with Ip Man as his mentor. Tyson started with guidance of Cus and Ali. and so on. Therefore instead of childish hostility in fanbase, a true Mbappe fan and he himself should cherish and appreciate the time around Lionel Messi the goat.

I mean in 2018 modric won the Ballondor but didnt win the world cup. Mbappe scored a hattrick in the final (the first time since 19-something) and played phenomenal in all the previous games. His season has been fantastic. PSG plays just fine without Messi but when Kylian has been out or wasn't on the field, PSG struggled. I think it would be a disservice if Kylian didn't win the Ballondor, but as everyone knows, the world cup tax is strong.

It's sad because I agree with you Mbappe deserves a ballon d'or, the guy has been scoring 50 goals + 25 assists every season since 4 years and carrying the team, and yet he finishes 6th behind Salah at the ballon d'or ranking, it's a joke.
