Kylie was just everywhere in the UK from 1986/7 (tv shows) onwards. After loads of hits, Kylie went indie & less commercial..then Light Years era came abd the bitch was back.with Spinning Around. Riding the pop this, what some called 'come back' wave, Please Stay, On a Night Like and the concert tour put Kylie back on the map larger than life in 2000.

I implore you to watch or react to both videos. Totally watch the original to get a feel and then watch the GERMAN ALMIGHTY RADIO EDIT video version. YOUR DISCO NEEDS YOU is the last single of the LIGHT YEARS era and when you do finally get to review her albums; when you do Light Years; I promise you-you’re going to lose your shit. Light Years is a great album overall with banger after banger. ❤

I never particularly liked Please Stay when it first came out, but I have come to absolutely ADORE this song. It's so simple yet evocative, and the clip is camp and incredibly gay

Please stay Showgirl version is so much better than the studio version . Also the remixes were amazing . Especially the Metro mix . The video version was basically the weakest . Honourable mention to its choreographer, main dancer and dear friend : Tim , who died during the Covid era . RIP TIM MY MAN

My favourite live video of Kylie: “Kylie Minogue - Confide in Me (Live in New York)” The most significant interview to watch is the Aussie one where she opens up candidly about her cancer battle with longtime friend and reporter Molly Meldrum. He’s kind of the only reporter that can be trusted not to sensationalise a cancer story for clout etc. It’s called “Kylie Minogue opens up in an emotional interview with Molly meldrum”. Cheesy as the title is. lol. That’ll give you the best insight into her as someone who’s lived the cancer journey. And absolutely the most entertaining thing that Tourism Australia poured millions (literally) of dollars into was her extravagantly camp Ad to entice folks from the UK to come up Australia. Released riiiiiiiight before Covid hit and nobody could travel anywhere 😂🫠🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s literally iconic though. Much campness and hilarity to be had. It’s called “matesong (official video) tourism Australia ad 2019” If you don’t want to come visit us in Australia after than I’ll eat my bloody left shoe. The interview and the ad don’t contain any of her music or spoilers for upcoming videos. Could be a breath of fresh air to do the tourism ad as a way to break up the music videos. The last one if you’re deep diving is a second tourism ad created by our major airline that she features in called “I Still Call Australia Home | QANTAS TV Commercial | TV ad | 2022” So live music video: “Kylie Minogue - Confide in Me (Live in New York)” Interview about her cancer struggle: “Kylie Minogue opens up in an emotional interview with Molly meldrum” UK Tourism ad that flopped because covid hit: “matesong (official video) tourism Australia ad 2019” And finally the tourism Australia ad that features her briefly but is quite impactful and will give you a reason to come crash on my couch in sydney: “I Still Call Australia Home | QANTAS TV Commercial | TV ad | 2022” ~fin~
