'Life in Six Strings powered by Music Drives Us with Joe Bonamassa' - In this episode I went to Nashville, otherwise known as Nerdville East, to meet up with my good friend Joe Bonamassa to find out about how his love of the guitar has helped shaped his incredible life. He invites me into his home to look at his collection and then we drive around town hitting some of his favourite spots concluding in him showing me how to play a blues classic.
Life in Six Strings is powdered by the charity 'Music Drives Us' which gives the gift of music to under privileged children go check out www.musicdrivesus.org for more information.

Listen, I would go as far as to say that if someone doesn't like Joe there has to be something wrong with them. How can you not like him! He's the coolest nerd around! I am certain that if you put together a very serious scientific experiment where you put people who don't like Joe in contact with dogs then the dogs will hate those people every time! Dogs don't lie man!

Great episode. What makes it work for Joe? Honesty. He isn’t a fake. He won’t compromise who he is and what he likes. He has come to wear his skin honestly and comfortably. That makes him uniquely Joe Bonamassa rather than just a copy of someone. I really appreciate his bare bones honesty. Take him or leave him. Life goes on.

Thanks so much for this episode. To be honest, I really wasn't a big fan of his. I knew of his existence, but this video really kind of showed me how cool of a guy that he is, and I think I might give his music a chance and I think I'm going to become a big fan of his. He seems like such a down-to-earth, humble kind of person and for his ability,.. that is such a rare thing. So,..... great video. Thank you so much.😶‍🌫🤘🔥

I got to meet him at a M n G in South Bend Indiana. We brought my Dad's 60 Fender Jazzmaster for him to see. It's in its original case with the tags and everything. Joe was like a moth to the flame. He saw the Fender carrying case and was like, "What do we have here?" Then we got to watch him burn the house down! He is the consummate gentleman.

Years ago, I heard "Sloe Gin" on the radio when it was a "New Release." And I thought "Man, this guy is amazing! I'm a guitar player, and at the time I only played hard rock and heavy metal - but he still floored me. On that day, I left Metal Street and moved to Blues Street. Then when I saw him live, I put down roots and haven't looked back. I'm still playing blues, and won't stop - all because of Joe Bonamassa. Back in the day, you had told me that one day I'd own and play a 335, I'd tell you that you were tripping and get lost. Today, I'll say "Of course I do." Thanks so much for this!!

Great interview! I found Joe about 12 years ago and then someone I knew that was a blues person said if you Like blues check out this guy that lives here in our city. Then I was told Joe found this young man and when Joe played our city (sold out) this local guy was Joe's special guest on stage. Joe found another guy in Texas and that guy has lived in Nashville ever since and has come a long way, and for these young people who get to play with the well known Artists. I like the Dust Bowl song so bought the CD from Joe's website. Joe can play anything; He too has come a long way. I think his organization that helps young people pursue their dream playing music is just as good as taking a kid fishing. Thanks for showing us his home and collectables. Your "jam" session sounded great too! I like old trucks too. In my State here in the USA if your vehicle is 35 years or older, you don't need an emission test. I have a 79 F350 truck.

Joe says "There are better guitarists and singers than me".... That's a very humble thing to say but I beg to differ. In my humble opinion he is the best musician I have ever encountered in my life. The first time I heard a Joe Bonamassa song it just appeared on my you tube suggestions and I sat there and listened to it with chills going though my body. The song was called Drive and that's when my deep dive into his music and career started and I've been hooked ever since. I haven't found a song i didn't like from him. I like to refer to his music as "Grown folk music". Thank you for showing a more personal side of Joe in this video!!

Joe does those things and more. I loved the conversation about the "Chase". As a luthier, its equally about the creation of an instrument, and or the chase of the wood to build it out of. Keep following your quest, you have made great progress and have blessed many as you let us go with you!

MY OTHER FAV JOE BON songs: luv "This Train", Sydney Opera House, you tube. Also, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with Petey Pie Frampton on a charity cruise, you tube. And, with Deon DiMucci in a train station, Joe Bon playing slide guitar, you tube. 💙🎶

I have heard and was aware of how good a guitarist he is but this video has made me a real fan. What a great guy. Not sure about his choice of discs on the wheels though.
