Well, I waited too long in the day and intended on running the HBX 3100A truck first. The 3S pack will fit in the tray, but I need a longer velcro strap to secure it. So, the Impreza got the glory today. Also, I'm trying out a new clip mount for my phone, to get some better quality shots. Impreza looks great out in the dirt. 👍 Lights really add to the overall look too. Watching this reminds me my FZ02-R is way overdue for a run. 😅

Thanks! Admittedly I went a bit over budget, but put in some extra work to make up for it. Totally worth it, as you see. I'm headed to a new location now to get some fresh shots. Hope you enjoy!

Hot damn loving this, great car, great location, great music. Looks right at home on the dirt. Definitely going to have to get my wr8 rebuilt 👍🏻 miss the rally cars. I wanna get the new cen racing puma soon.

Haha! Glad you liked it man. That's what makes this worth doing. After getting this car, my smaller scale cars are now collecting dust.. can only imagine how much more fun that WR8 must be. That Puma looks sick too! Cheers!

@scaleworksRC yeah it's an addiction right lol. The wr8 is awesome but I have issues with it everything I go out with it lol. It's currently in need of a new motor as the pole snapped last run. It is great fun to drive though.

What motor/esc combo you running? Where did you get the LED set? Cool vid!

Stock motor and ESC on 5200mah 80C Hoovo packs. Lights are the $8 set from Amazon but they have a more appropriate 8 bulb/single plug deal for like $13. Glad you enjoyed! 👍🫡

Thanks! Actually I combined 2 light kits because I was in a rush to run it, but you can buy the same ones on Amazon with 8 LEDs to get the same effect. I used both 5mm and 3mm so either will fit. Have fun out there!

What turn motor you running? I put a 5T trinity brushless in my XV-02.

I bet you get some good speed with that motor. Nice chassis too! I'm just running the stock motor, 14 turn on an 80C 2S lipo.

Do you know of any good brands of tires that fit the on road chassis ?

In the 3S testing video, I was running 26mm 32 shore Contact foams that I normally use for speed runs. They have a nice amount of grip and slip, but look a bit small to me. If you run foams, I'd go for 40 shore for touring car driving. They are about $10 for 2. I also need to try the OZ racing rally wheels from Amazon (also cheap.. like $20 for a set). Just need to re-glue and set the foam back in first though. They held up great on the Phantom Racer, which is basically a 1/12 scale Fazer clone.. up to 60mph. Over that, and they like to go POP 💥😁 Hope that helps.

@scaleworksRC yes some, I'm about to get the rolling chassis and was wondering what offsets the included "disc" hubs can use,I'll be running 2s only

@@brianlangford7278 Gotcha.. I don't know about the roller, but the RTR comes with 5mm offsets on the car and 0 offset spares in the box, so you have some options. Looking forward to seeing it run, brother!

@scaleworksRC me too nephew has one ,we are using 5400 kv,n hold on,120 Amp esc,makes fir spare on short course, his balls out on 2s n 35 pinion

@@brianlangford7278 That's a good strong setup.. it should fly with a 35t pinion. My speed run car is running a 33t now and it's consistent 70mph on 3S
