I love all of the rereleased models that have been introduced by Kyosho and Tamiya, not to mention Team Associated. Thanks for the unboxing of these great models. These bring back the era when the RC bug took hold of me, and one bug That I have never been cured of.

Nice Rich Even though I don't enjoy building shocks in particular, gear boxes and diffs come a close 2nd, I wish the kit had, those components unmade. I know I'm saying I don't really like making these components, but when I do I get the satisfaction of doing so. RTRs & ARTR are great options for beginners and well some of them are just down right cool. This kit is kind of ARTR. I love to build kits, paint them up, pull a heap of parts out of a box, and depending on the company just follow the steps in the instructions. There's something about doing it all that gives me a lot of satisfaction. It's almost an art form, creating and designing (paint schemes). Even the electronics we choose, researching and sourcing. Then there is the up grades, I mean an alloy steering horn is one of the essentials that I never seem to leave the shop without. And lastly the pinion gear, always end up buying a pinion to suite. I like it but the pre assembled components I'm just not sure why they did it. It's like an 80% -90% build. It's nearly $400 here in Australia, so not a cheap kit. Compared to what else I can buy for that kind of money, I just feel the value (apart from nostalgia) doesn't stack up against modern kits. Prioritising as a driver, bashing, I couldn't do it. Nostalgia wise if I had the spare cash, I think I would just store it unopened. Regards Garszy

That is such a fantastic looking kit and I've been enjoying building tamiya kits lately, and looking to build this as a first Kyosho kit.

ParadisePopcorn Kang the Scorpion is the OG....Optima is 4wd vs all the other re-releases. I would choose the Turbo Scorpion over the Orginal.....but between the Turbo and the Optima? I'm liking the Turbo

I just saw one of these at the hobby shop, very tempting. I dont have the nostalgia for this rig so I dont think I would enjoy it. It looks amazing but I imagine new buggies blow this out of the water with their capabilities, am I wrong?

Theres something to be a appreciated on these vintage kits. Yes, modern kits will do laps around it, but there's a cool factor here

Ok, thanks for the reply. I had one as a kid (an RC-10 too), but the Ultima was my favorite. I'd buy a re-issue of that in a heartbeat, although the Optima was pretty neat too. Great videos!
