A beautifully shot video. Most of the featured locations were familiar to me from my 5 visits in the 3 years before Covid. Kyoto is one of my 2 favourite cities in Japan (the other is Sapporo). The Kyoto trail is one of the best hiking destinations in the world IMO. Can't wait for Japan to open up to tourists. In the meantime I will keep following Japan-Guide.

Such a beautiful video, it makes me want to go back so badly. I visited Japan in 2013, and again in 2019. Both times we went to Kyoto multiple times. I remember many of these places like I was there yesterday. At 1:57, there is a scenic shot of the city taken from the top of Kyoto Station. I took that exact same shot during the evening in 2013! As soon as Japan reopens to tourism, I will be booking a trip! I love it there so much.

Sorry but I had to comment again after watching this gorgeous video again. Kyoto is always wonderful in the sakura season but I still can't get over how peaceful and uncrowded it was this year. I compared it to my video from a couple of years ago, and while the sakura and sites were still amazing back then, it was just so crowded. Having said that if you've never been to Kyoto it is a must visit - crowds and all. 😀
