We will walk along the beautiful promenade that stretches from the area around Higashiyama Station to Gion, following the path along the river. You can also see parent and child ducks in the picturesque Shirakawa River. Enjoy a wonderful stroll while observing how the water flows towards the famous Gion Shirakawa area.

白川沿い、素敵なところですよね♪ 明智光秀のお墓もあったりして歴史的にもとても貴重な道かと。 学生時代、真夏の暑い日にこの道を散策して汗だくになって、当時祇園北にあった銭湯でさっぱりした後に木屋町の居酒屋でビールを飲んだ思い出が😊

川沿いの建物の外観が徐々に町家のような建築様式に変化し一体となり、景観が今よりもっと京らしく美しくなったらいいですね。

白川にあった「ハードロック・カフェ」．．．コロナで潰れちゃったんだよね。 その佇まいに外国人観光客は驚いてたけど、未だに空き店舗なのは残念。
