He knows Kyrie's special. I mean, lets be real, everyone with eyes knows Kyrie is special, including Lebron who let him cook all he wants during their days in Cleveland last time. Only issue ever with Kyrie is never basketball reasons, its off-the-court or some other issues. So if there are no such issues, Kyrie is an amazing teammate to have. Esp. when dude is so focused on defense as well.

Not sure if you hear the commentators today (not being condescending) but Kyrie said, he knows his place in NBA history, he knows it'll be with the greats but playing with an offensive "juggernaut" like Luka he wants Luka to continue doing his thing and now he wants to focus and be remembered as a great defensive player. This is a guy who is finally comfortable with himself, his place in the game's history and the team he's playing on. Do you honestly don't see it?

The cavs (and lebron) looked great playing against the leastern conference plumbers (oladipo, derozan and 19yo tatum were the bast players) then melted as soon as they met a good team. But I do think that 2017 was an even match: Lebron vs kd Kyrie outplayed steph Love vs Dray Jr vs klay ... It wasn't as impossible as people like to think nowadays. The clutch moments (especially in game 3) were decisive, and lebron+kyrie underperformed in those moments
