Here's a question: Westbrook and Kyrie have completely different styles of play, but they do similar work. They're ball dominant guards who look to score first. If KD didn't work with Westbrook, why do some people think he'd work so well with Kyrie?

ishmael thweatt Thank you! I’ve been telling people this for years! Kyrie and KD are the most skilled players in the league. I actually think Kyrie is more skilled than KD, but still KD is highly skilled. These two can score from anywhere and make any shot. Add to fact that Kyrie has the best handle of all time and KD has great handle for someone his size and you can just see how crazy that would be in NY.

People are focused on Kyrie to the Knicks, but there's another NY native that is a pretty good point guard named Kemba Walker, who is also a free agent. And he probably won't be expecting max money. I think a deal in that $30M a year range could land him. Pair him with KD and the #1 overall pick, Zion Williamson, the Knicks would be automatic playoff team in the East.

Am I the only one that thinks Kyrie and KD isnt a good fit? KD wants to play team-ball, no stand in the corner while Kyrie isos. Not to mention they will clash for who will close in the final seconds of games. Just because they're both talented doesnt mean they should team up

If I were the knicks I would just focus on drafting Zion, signing kd, and just try to get a point guard that is serviceable for the time being. Kyrie can play but he's a head case which makes him a liability. Save the money and get someone who could come in and play well for a season or two.
