Deathsquitos flying out of nowhere XD Thank you for another great video. I have found that having a herd of Lox (about 20) around my Plains base provides great protection and is an easy way to gather resources like black metal. At the end of the day, I run around the perimeter and gather whatever was dropped from their kills

Great vid! The shield on the shaman can be damaged through, 1-2 hits with a Frostner or 2 well aimed shots from a bow works as well. That being said, my tombstone currently resides in a plains biome. A 2 star Beserker claimed my soul, I ran out of arrows with 5% hp left ….don’t get greedy!!

@@Kysen Have you tried out the ooze bombs? I use them fairly often in this biome as they stack damage and can be spammed. The horde take quite a bit of damage from them but I have not done exhaustive research on what exactly happens. Its a great way to keep the dps rolling when fighting multiple mobs, just kite them in a medium size circle and have the bombs hot keyed. The other consideration in all of this, if you are at this stage, the horde will send raids to your location. If your location is your main city, shit is about to go down. I would suggest a whole pack of wolves that can be released to help with this fight and you can gain lots of gold and dark iron scraps right at your own base in this way. Tip for easy fighting in the plains: Use the boulders! If you find those large boulders near a group of lox or fuling or when you’re running around as you fight them then jump up on those boulders and they can’t climb them and you can pick them off without all the running around. Saves a ton of stamina and no risk of being hit unless there’s a shaman or a spear thrower.

I lucked out and had one of those big stone monoliths right near my first fuling village...built up to the top and then out to make a cosy wee sniper platform for myself right above them. Great fun tbh

I was going to post that tip for the Fulings, too. Just be careful, some of the Fulings can climb some boulders. Some chops with a pickaxe can fix that, though. I didit to eradicate Fuling villages with grreat success.

That's how I got 2 loxes with the second bow and wooden arrows. I found them on a little island while sailing and searching for chitin.

I believe wild Loxes and Fulings get along fine. In your example, the loxes got surly because they were walking over the camp's fires. It's when you tame a lox that they will attack fulings and any other enemy of yours. Also, you can attack a shaman or other fulings when that shield is active on them. Usually 1 stronger arrow (obsidian or needle) cracks it off of them so you can attack normally.

psa if you use a huntsman bow instead of a draugr fang so pick off fulings one by one they won't be alerted right away but vigilant and you can stealthily clear em instead of puling the whole camp

My brothers and I have beaten the plains except for the boss, and now kinda done with the game till the add more stuff. What I mean by beaten is All of us have full Blackmetal gear, full leveled Linen gear, and the rest of the stuff maxed level.

The force fields are more like shields. A couple arrows or hits will take it down and you can just kill them faster instead of waiting around. Also wild lox don't aggro fulings. They only aggro growths and stuff from other biomes.

@@Kysen np! It looks like they were trampling over some of the fuling buildings and that's probably the damage you saw in the video. Have to be careful around the base when you're riding them😂

i think you're overestimating the plains, with fully upgraded wolf armor and the weapons you have, you're able to pop bonemass then just run in as long as you have health and stam meads. Need to be careful of fighting more than 1 berserker at at time but fighting up to 5 fulings at a time is definitely doable.

for some reason my spawn island is connected to swamps and the swamp is connected to the plains all by land

Yea well the problem is that I went to the swamp and then parked the boat in a meadow to collect scrap iron (because it easier to carry by boat then to walk it) to be greeted by brutes, draugers and feelings and just got absolutely murdered and the boat got destroyed.

0:49 how does this work? Do the mobs in a plains biome at the edge of the map have more health/damage or something like that?

no, its just a matter of the biome spawn chance is bigger the farther you are away from the center, so you wont see the mistlands biome near the middle for example.

is just me or does the explored map not match the amount of recourses that have been gathered? I don't wanna be that guy but I've noticed plenty little things that don't make this look like 'playthrough' more tutorials for people that cant play themselves? I know its boring but skip some prep talk and give us the gory boring mining and exploring bits to even in a episode and a half format would make this much better to follow.
