I’d love to see you do some research and planning in your farms. More GD farm, boar breeder, etc. I know there are lots of tutorials on KZfaq, but I always wonder how well they work after various patches. I play slow as a working teacher and mom to 2 (so I love watching your videos while I get chores done and keep my head in the game, as it were)… I started a new world and came across a Draugr Village while traveling to my Elder. As I haven’t found a large swamp in this world, I’d like to work out a draugr farm. I’m surprised that there’s not many videos on this. My husband thinks it is because intestines come pretty easy once you are actively swamping. Nice work on the portal hub!

As I was watching this 🤔 I got an idea for my next big project. Already have a portal floor in my pyramid. But I want to create a new Portal Relay Hub. I envision it like a Coliseum with expanding outer rings as the higher level. In each ring a ring of portals. First floor similar to yours but with a garden around the portals inner and outer circle. It’s a working idea. But it was inspired just looking at your build. I may have to sketch ✍️ it out on paper for rough plan build idea. The plains is full of stones so I’ll likely build it there.

What goes through my mind when I watch this? Oh my - the amount of stone I have to farm to do something like this on a vanilla server.

Maybe what you could do with the old gray dwarf farm is to turn it into a dungeon cell, some sort of fire pit arena or just add steel bars/cage around it just for looks. Just for some ideas.

Oh, MAN! RIP GD farm! 😢 Sorry, Kysen! That's super frustrating! This happened to me while I was digging out the pit for a farm before, a troll came around and one shot the spawner (luckily I was much earlier in the build). I learned my lesson though, and have put deep moats and tall earthen walls around mine ever since! I also always use wolves instead of hearths so that I don't need a roof over the entire thing and can have a bigger clearing over the spawner and also don't have to worry about smoke damage to the spawner (not sure if that happens or not).

Did the spawner need some sort of ground directly underneath it? I know how they use gravity in the game so I’m wondering if it just fell on its own over time?

If a troll destroyed your spawner the roof would be ruined too, I think... Do spawners take smoke damage? Cause that's my first guess, all the smoke trapped under the roof damaging the spawner. I wanted to add a roof to my farm but now I'm kinda sus about it xd

Spent 300+ hrs in the game, still to date cant get the thing: why people build portal rooms?? Having just TWO portals + spreadsheet with IDs is enough for everything, and easier & cheaper...
