There were so many amazing performances from all the contestants that year that I ended up watching the entire series, haha. There's a channel that does english subtitles and I thoroughly enjoyed it all. Hua Chenyu was another stand-out for this season.

This remains the most creative reimagining of a great Adele song. She played that maxed-out autotune intentionally as a texturising instrument at the start to great effect. The rap is impressive (so says my Tagalog-speaking friend!), & when she went all jazzy-chromatic instead of the original pentatonic in that first verse I realised she's a serious *musician* rather than just a singer.
