I have the 1000cc class of 1982. Suzuki GS1000SZ Katana and a KZ1000R ELR. I wanted something from Honda from 82 but the CB900F just doesn't cut it next to the CB1100F. A pity because I wanted to honor Freddy Spencer along with Wes Cooley and Eddie Lawson. 1982 was the final year for 1000cc AMA racing. What an era!

That’s quite a collection. The 900F is a great bike but you’re right that the 1100 is a significant upgrade and special. Perhaps a resto mod tribute 900 in Spencer colors?

Had the 1100f when I was 20 years old. Canadian/ euro version with the lower bars, more rear set footpegs, no fairing (round headlight), and gold modular wheels. Unfortunately it met an untimely end when a taxi turned left in front of me.

My first street bike, 1982 Honda CB 900F SS. It had a Yoshimura header on it. In central California where I grew up, it was flat farm land all around. You could hear me coming from a mile away. Going too lol

Two of my all time favorites. I have a blue CB1100F and a 79 CBX still but have always wanted a KZ1000R and KZ1300. I also have always liked the 84 1000 Interceptor and there is one fairly close for sale but the pricing has gotten nuts. Oh well maybe some day. Nice bikes.

I bought a 1100 last summer its a very sweet bike. Mine has a 4 into one Kerker love the sound. Mine has fresh paint. I need that cover around the starter switch, mine blew off. Watch out the tabs that hold it break off. Ride safe!

My V45 Sabre has the trac forks and it does the same wallowing in corners. It used to try to do a tank slapper on ya when you decelerate for corners. I tightened the steering stem nut about 3/4 turn and that fixed it.

I bought a 79 CB 750F with 47 thousand miles on it and the engine was locked up because of the cam chain. Had bent valves because of that and also I had to replace all the exhaust valves - worn.

Hello . You know a lot i think about the 1983 cb1100 . Mine has a single fat airshock in the middle . Is there anything you can tell me about the differences between the rear shocks . Is one a Supersport ?

If you have a single shock, then someone modified it from the stock version. No 1100Fs came with a single shock.

The Kawi R is a cool bike, but the Honda is way ahead any way compared, 1/4 miles times, Top Speed, and on a track, the Honda will run circles around the Kawi, wait to get the Honda dialed in, and if the sound is causing You to believe the kaei has more power, put a loud pipe on the Honda, (though I wouldnt). Nice video though...
