The only other debut album that I can think of that matched the raw pure energy of that first LA guns debut album in the self titled WASP. That first LA guns album was beyond incredible. American Hardcore-I saw this lineup in concert at The Palace in Hollywood CA and I agree, It wasn't LA Guns to me. Before the show Tracii walked out with (a roadie?) and across the street to grab a burger. He had his hair long and all in dreadlocks (Rasta Tracii?) and on the marquee they were even listed as Lalay Guns or something like that. During the show, the singer drank some water and proceeded to spit (spray) it out all over the audience and I was standing in front. This put me off this band (my favorite) for several years! I'm so glad they got back together and became my favorite old LA Guns!!

Yeah let's talk about Tracii Guns and the way that rock and roll world followed their lead and they still hold the number one spot. I would give anything including my left nut to jam with Tracii, for the record...we're talking about the drummer from the beginning, you guessed it, Steve Riley, he's bad to the bone. So are you guys going to get back together like California? Or, I crucified the whole situation and make some changes myself? I mean, what you guys put out in the past four decades is everything that rock and roll could ever put out. For the record, my professional experience/ God knows what the hell they're doing!!! L.A. Guns "American Hardcore", which btw was awful (IMO) and nothing like any of their previous releases. It reminds me of when the band Shotgun Messiah (Hair / Glam Metal, Heavy Metal band from Sweden) released their first 2 albums (which were excellent), and then released "Violent New Breed", a sort of Alternative, Industrial album which was a heap of garbage, not worthy of the vinyl it was pressed on. This major decline is often the case due to band member changes or even taking sometimes too much time off. Our Taste with the ranking of the Guns is identical, amazing! So I won't repeat everything you said. I would choose "Hollywood Vampires" to be #1 (and also a toss up) but otherwise everything else is the same. So I commend you for having such good taste and insight, like myself (lol). Good job!

Easier to just say top studio albums W/ Tracii and Phil (cause they have some crappy stuff when Phil and Tracii went their separate ways)… so Albums w/ those two together I’ll rank. Top 10 Ten being first.. Man in The Moon Shrinking Violet The Devil You know Waking the Dead The Missing Piece Vicious Circle LA Guns Hollywood Vampires Checkered Past Cocked & Loaded The top 7 is so hard to rank cause I really love al 7..but for ranking reasons this is my list today.. of course it’s always subject to change. 😊 I will say that I believe Vicious Circle is a very very under rated album. I remember when I got it when it first released I wore the tape out. Such a diverse album. I thought the punk was there on some songs, the metal songs were there and the slower, blusier songs were there too. It had a lot in that album. Which is why I put it over The Missing Piece. I just thought song for song it was a little stronger. Although Missing Piece had some great songs on it I just had to put Vicious over it right now. But I remembe when VC was released I think it was Metal Edge or one of those magazines gave it a 4.5 stars out of 5..

I can see why some think it has some "grunge" feel to it. I mean Face Down is a more Raw/Grungier sound for sure. But I just though Vicious circle was just trying to be heavier and more raw. W/ the heavier songs I mean No Crime, Killing Machine, Kill that girl are very metal. Kill that girl and I'm the One has more punk to it, Kelly singing Nothin' Better To do for me was kinda just straight up blues rock w/ a little punk to it. The slower songs like Kiss of Death, Why aren't I bleeding, I'd love to change the world and of course re-releasing Crystal Eyes on the American and European release was nice, I thought it was their best ballad to date even though it was on HV first, it was just good enough to release it twice. But, the other slow one's on this album are really good. Very 70's ish. And Phils voice on these types of slower songs is just magical they take you on a trip for sure. I really love I'd love to change the world.. The entire band is just killing it on that, the mix is perfect. I just thought this album was a really nice follow up to HV, showcases more of LA Guns diversity in writing and playing.
