That annoyed me too. I think it was intended to show that the check proved nothing on its own. The blackmail is the real evidence, because of Gloria explaining that Lorna Hopgood was trying to get cash for her husband

Wow Ive replayed this game a million times and was always pretty unsatisfied with this case, turns out its because I never got the third question right (which the comments already lambast enough for probably being one of the worst in the game) which is what gives you a lot of answers and prompts another question which supplies even more information

The evidence that he's lying... is... the empty film reel canister? How... does that... make any sense? Considering how long the cutscenes and search segment are before this with no option to save, I eventually would have ragequit long before being able to randomly guess this totally unrelated piece of evidence.

In his first answer, Hopgood already mentioned that June Ballard was at the studio, along with Jessica remembering being at Hopgood's studio. So, he knows June on a more personal level than just props. The film canister and the camera setup shows that Hopgood was much more involved than he originally claimed too, especially since the film room was so hidden. June knew exactly where to take Jessica, in order to get her and Bishop on film, for blackmail. Otherwise, Hopgood would've told her what Bishop was doing to her niece, and June would've responded with anger for Jessica, instead of with indifference toward her getting drugged and raped

dear god!! i never planned to look into guides for the interrogations. doing pretty good so far, then this stupid part came, before typing this comment i failed this interrogation 6 or 7 ( quit & resume, walk in, ask for the back room search for evidence, look at the damn news paper, back track to the secret pep room, then back to him and failed at question 3!! )

Actually, you don't have to use the empty canister on the first one. I used the chloral hydrate each time, and it worked. Because we know Jessica had some in her blood. But on the third one, it's tricky, I must admit. And frustrating.

Hell yes, I wanted to beat the living Sh*t out of this guy, but then Roy had to come in and screw that up, like the douche he is. But this scene just shows very good script writing and voice acting like the rest of the game, it really sells you on the feel.

What a load of s###.. This is and was the only multiple choice "illusion of gameplay" interrogation I used a walk through on, and the bloody walk throughs were wrong! 😂 It's so obscure that even after playing the game before, vaguely remembering using a guide for this exact scene, I still got it wrong.. Or did I? See there are multiple items that link this toss bucket to "the talent" - the very way he refers to June Ballard would be enough for a competent officer in the real world to push him of course.. Then there are the shrunken heads of which one was wedged in the cars accelerator, the cheque, conversation revealing evidence of blackmail.. It only makes sense in hindsight..

You start the interview with two questions: association with bishop and whereabouts. I only have one : association and so the case doesn't advance ... I've restarted the case twice , didn't help. I've checked that I did not miss clues, but I might be wrong...

See, this is messed up. I would have never picked the same evidence twice! Thats why I have been stucked on this one for a while. And like he said, that canister has nothing to do with Bollard. This one wasnt too straight. Making me feel like Im stupid by picking a bunch of other answers that I clearly know are wrong.

I looked this up cause that second question I wanted to say good cop, but if I missed the question and dashboard I gotta go through all the set again for clues haha. I use these I guess my answer and like 8/10 times I’m right. It’s usually the lie and then the evidence I’ll mix up.

Literally asks about bishop and then what is the real answer, an empty film case with 2 names on it… not the drugs that were found inside the girl or the fact that he stole Shrunken head, i just wish multiple things would count towards proving someone is lying rather than having to pick 1 singular item BY FUCKING DEFINITION word for fucking word for it to be right, im almost about to stop playing this game its to the point that even when i know for a fact theyre telling the truth ill click good cop and i still get it wrong even tho their faces dont twitch or movie. Its just infuriating. Ps dont comment this is just a rant
