Lotus or Deffadills are names of flowers like beautiful Rose and Tulips. In Ames Iowa USA I saw Tulips. But it is time to eat Lotus flower and Stems in Sindh Pakistan.They 're nutritious.

@@annjulee500 hahaha!, well, one flowered already, and one died and the other one is still to bloom. I only plant them to see the flowers, we actually don't eat them, I just love the purple flowers, they are beautiful.

WHAT?! Did YOU just say you ONLY plant “them” for the flowers but you don’t actually eat them??!! Are YOU openly discriminating against ugly and tasteless vegetables?! And could that possibly be YOUR excuse for killing one of three artichokes, possibly a missing second (under mysterious circumstances while we have to take YOUR word that it actually bloomed already, when you could’ve killed it like your first victim), AAAAAANNNDD a third artichoke with a VERY questionable future as a plant yet to bloom in your care, Carlos?! I’m SORRY, but I’m bound to report you to the international salad commission for further investigation of missing vegetables...so you better watch out for those delicious cherry tomatoes and ANY more mysterious disappearances....in my direction! 🤨😋

Ikram Kamboh ..... The ARTICHOKE is actually a Bud of a thistle - a flower , which comes from the plant family of aster ; and it supposed to be harvested before it blossoms . It’s being considered as Vegetable in Culinary , and is eaten as such... It’s nutritious and amazingly delicious , one of the staples of Mediterranean Diet , especially in France and Italy ... ..... 🇫🇷 🌱 🇮🇹 .....

@@fabiankaufmann3972 Hi Fabian, we know how expensive farm machinery is, farmers can hardly make enough money with their produce to pay for them and the horrendous repair costs if they break down. Seasonal workers are cheaper in the long run. Greetings from Canada.

@@gordonbricker1670 Hi, you underestimate the costs in France - there is a minimum salary of almost 10 euros per hour. Furthermore it is really, really difficult to find people who want to do harvest work, normally you have to bring them from far away (like Poland or Romania) and pay the journey and their living costs. Every season you have to fight for finding those people. Also a lot of consumers would not pay the higher price and on the short run there is a higher price to pay. But I admit, it depends on the culture you choose.

Ils sont récupérés lors du dedrageonage de printemps, au lieu de le faire à la machine on le fait manuelle et on récupère les plants d’artichauts avec leur racine
