My man you can cause a fire like that, you have to use a circuit tap to safely connect a wire to a fuse. You giving people bad info bro.

I did the same in my Gen coupe awhile ago, but I found a constant power, and I hooked up a switch and ran an in line fuse, cause the way you wrapped it around that fuse made the fuse inoperable. I did stereo instalation and interior lighting for a living, and if I can say that it looks nice, and I love all the mods that you have done, but that would be a good Idea to run a constant 12v wire and put a switch and in line fuse.

Thanks for the video. That's an easy install and it looks great! Gotta say that wrapping the power around the fuse the way you did, bypasses the fuse in the headlight circuit, though. The fuse is there for a reason. A short in the headlight circuit without the fuse could cause an electrical fire. Yeah, its not likely, but possible. If you're doing this for yourself in your own car... hey, it's a free country, but if you're installing these for someone else, please note that this isn't a safe install.

How do you close the fuse box cover if the wire is sticking out?

Did you just rap bare wire around both metal fangs on the fuse? There goes that amp rating and possible fire if you ever get a short.

Hi, I have a issue with mine. I put the red wire in with the fuse wrapping it around (in the daytime running light and tried it with numerous others) I had the black wire screwed down to a bolt as we but I had no luck what so ever getting the led to work.. Any idea why?

Dude! If you don't want to splice into the wire exiting the fuse box (the best way), you should pickup a fuse tap. It plugs in in place of the fuse and has a block where you can insert the original fuse as well as a second fuse for the new circuit. It has a lead you can crimp onto your wire. Much safer. The way you wrapped the wire around the fuse is totally ghetto and unsafe. Aside from that the blue halo effect is sweet looking.

hey man, I bought the same leds from like autozone, I follow the video to the T (with the exception I didn't used the same nut you use to ground it because its seems like it was over torque , so I had to used a different nut), I ground it and I continue to put the black and gray wire in the same lfuse as yours but it didn't work, so I used that alternative battery that came with it to see if the wiring was connect right, and it was, but I still cant get it to light up, I talk to someone and they said maybe the nut I use to ground it wasn't right, tryna see if you have so more insight

Please don't do this if you want LEDs like this use a fuse tap, don't just wrap the wire around the fuse terminals. Solder or crimp the wires with a butt connector don't just tape them together. Use a ring terminal to secure the ground wire to a bolt, dont just wrap it around the stud. None of his methods should be practiced. Also the adhesive on those straps usually isn't very good so try using zip ties if you have good anchor points.

you know the idea of having a fuse in the first place is to avoid fire or short circuit, you rendered your fuse useless by wrapping wire around the two ends on the fuse. This is very unsafe and wrong, who told you you can do this? The correct way would be to wrap it around only 1 prong of the fuse so that the current travels threw the fuse itself and not be jumped by the wire.

Omg. This is total cringe. Bare wire on a fuse? Electrical taping a splice? Connect these lights properly to the parking light wiring properly with a splice connector or wire nut.

anyone that wants to do this should first learn how to solder so you can do a proper instal instead of this unsafe method. If you ever did this for someone else they could have an issue and then you would be liable for damages. If you did it to your own car and something happens insurance would not pay a penny after your car burns down.

So many shortcuts.... Yes you got the LEDs working but in a non practical, unsafe, tacky way. 1. You should have used an add-a-fuse line or inline fuse to power them and fuse them. 2. Instead of wrapping cable around the ground bolt you should have put terminals on the end of the wire to screw it down properly. 3. It's better to get power from the accessories fusebox the cigarette lighter wire. 4. Just put an inline switch somewhere in the car if you want to turn the LEDs off and on if needed. 5. SOLDER YOUR JOINTS!!! None of this lazy twistie tape BS.
