F.P.Journe celebrates the 10th anniversary of the élégante by F.P.Journe, with the introduction of the élégante Gino's Dream, a timepiece paying tribute to Serge Cukrowicz, François-Paul Journe's friend and co-founder of Montres Journe SA.
Known to all as Gino, he was known for his frankness, humour, and his gift for building genuine relationships with people - collectors, colleagues or friends. He had a distinctive and genuine admiration and respect for independent watchmakers, appreciating their creativity and means of expression.
A founding partner of the brand, Gino first met François-Paul Journe in the 1990s, immediately recognizing the genius behind his work. They quickly developed a close friendship which led Gino to co-found Montres Journe SA in 1999, participating and supporting the realization of François-Paul Journe's dream.
Surrounded by his spouse Radhi, his children Gina and Dylan and his step-children Shawn and Zane, Gino passed away on 6 May 2021 in Singapore.
Named in his memory, François-Paul Journe dedicates the élégante Gino’s Dream to him, a model directly inspired by Gino’s vibrant temperament. An ode to Gino's personal Titanium élégante which he wore on a yellow strap.
The bezel is adorned with a gradation of 52 baguette-cut stones in rainbow hues, which echoes his colourful style. Cased in a 48 mm Flat Tortue® shape case, the model is available in Titanium and Titalyt® versions.
The élégante Gino’s Dream is more than a watch; it is a tribute to a man whose fervour left its mark on F.P.Journe. François-Paul Journe not only celebrates his memory, but also bears witness to their friendship, their collaboration and their shared quest for excellence. Through this new creation, Gino continues to shine
