国天然記念物「声良鶏」（こえよしどり）

声良鶏とは・・・
高知の東天紅、新潟の唐丸とともに日本三長鳴鶏と称される。鹿角が原産地とされるが、現在秋田、岩手、青森の各県で広く飼育されている。
古くからの地鶏に軍鶏などを交配して作出されたといわれ、体重は雄約5.0キログラム、雌約3.5～4.5キログラム、三枚冠、赤色短小の耳朶、黄色の嘴と脚等が特徴である。雄では咽喉部が袋状に垂れ、頸部は長大で肩幅広く、脚は太く長く、頸・腰・尾の羽は豊かで美しい。羽の色は白柏・黒柏・赤柏等があるが、白柏系のものが普及している。
その鳴き方は、独特で、初め低音でおごそかに「国光郷王」と歌い出し、長く引きながら張り上げ、やがてしだいに調子をさげて静かに歌い終わるものである。
朗々としたその歌声を躍進する鹿角市のイメージに重ね、昭和57年に「市の鳥」に選定された。また、全日本声良鶏保存会が、その繁殖、保存に努めている。

What about "Koeyoshi-dori rooster" .
Together with the "Totenko" of Kochi Prefecture and the "Toumaru" of Niigata Prefecture, they are known as the "Three Long-singing roosters" of Japan. It is said to have originated in Kazuno, but is now widely raised in Akita, Iwate and Aomori prefectures.
They are said to have been bred by crossbreeding the traditional Japanese native chickens with Shamo chickens, etc. They weigh approximately 5.0 kilograms for the rooster and 3.5 to 4.5 kilograms for the hen, and are characterized by their three-piece crown, short red ears, yellow bill and legs, etc.
The rooster has a long neck with broad shoulders, long and thick legs, and rich and beautiful feathers on the neck, rump, and tail. The feathers are white, black, red, etc., but mainly the white type is popular.
The song is unique in that it starts out in a low, soft "kokko-go-oh," then builds up to a long, drawn-out "kokko-go-oh," and then gradually slows down to a quiet, final song.
It was selected as a "city bird" in 1982, and the preservation society is making efforts to breed and preserve it.

與高知的東天光、新潟的烏丸並稱為日本三大烏鴉雞之一。據說起源於鹿角市，現在在秋田縣、岩手縣和青森縣廣泛養殖。
據說是用傳統的散養雞鹿角市雞等雜交生產的。雄性重約5.0公斤，雌性約3.5-4.5公斤，三冠，紅色耳垂短而小，喙黃色還有腿。。雄性喉部呈袋狀，頸長肩寬，腿粗而長，頸、腰、尾羽優美。翅膀有白色、黑色、紅色等，但白色是最常見的。
它的演唱方式很獨特，以低沉而雄偉的“Kokko gooo”開始，然後是長拉和升壓，然後逐漸降低音調並安靜地結束歌曲。
鏗鏘有力的歌聲疊加在飛速發展的鹿角市的形像上，1982年被選為“城市鳥”。此外，保護協會努力培育和保護它們。
