Eillis其是很幸运的，有愿意帮助他的牧师，友善的房东，没有语言障碍，一落地就有工作，房东提供的住宿条件也算不错，从头到尾都过得算是体面，还有年龄相仿的同居室友，很快还收获了爱情，只一年时间就脱胎换骨，许多亚裔一开始存在的就是语言沟通问题，不得已只能做更加低级的工种。这个影片要表达的，我想也不是一个涅槃重生的故事，而是人们不得已为了更好的生活做出的选择。在人生的十字路口，我们都要为自己每一个选择承担后果。有时候，这个后果可能是双面的，就看我们如何取舍，其是，人生就是一个跟过去不断道别的过程。

离开故乡并不后悔，但是看到满头白发的父母向你挥手道别的时候，那种留恋、不舍、却又无奈的眼神，心痛的让人无法呼吸

難怪，都說移民是條不歸路⋯⋯ 當初年輕時決定移民，要離開故人故土及年邁的父母，心裡的不捨和內疚是言語難以形容的。現在我也已經為人父母，対於孩子能飛鬲走遠我是祝福大於不捨。若能在故鄉追求理想、完成夢想，誰願意漂洋過海孤軍奮戰？

離鄉近26年, 在異鄉生根, 這些年來也僅返鄉一次, [家鄉]對我而言早已經是[家]的所在, 但是看到這部影片時, 內心不禁被原生地在回憶裡的種種給牽動了. 電影工作者願意拍出這一部非好萊塢譁眾取寵式的影片, 實在是觀者之福; 也感謝博主貼近影片精神的導覽. 又 愛爾蘭(愛爾蘭共和國)的國教是天主教, 天主教的神職人員是神父與修女( 基督教神職者則是牧師 或 傳道人), 所以影片裡的那位慈祥長者應是一位神父.

忍着泪水看完的， 为了看这部电影， 错过了一个很重要的约会， 实在是走不开。 移民的艰辛路浮现在眼前。 家乡已成了陌生的地方， 喜欢国外的有序的安静的生活， 这种安静就是一种实实在在的踩在地板上的感觉。 没有落叶归根的感觉。 只是想念父母， 如果父母不在了， 对家乡根本没感觉了。
