This is December 2023 and this timeless classical rendition on violin by legendary Subramaniam family is enormously exciting, exceptionally enthralling, excellently entertaining, electrifying and exclusively enjoyable. Their rendition is marvellously melodious, magnificently memorable, magically momentous and mesmerising. ❤❤❤

It's so awesome that Ambi is following in his father's footsteps. I was fortunate to see Dr Subramaniam play at Madame Wong's in Santa Monica back in the 1980s. Even got invited to the band's lounge and got to meet and talk with one of the greates violin players ever. That night he played Flight of the Humble Bee. There was even a stienerphone in the band that night. It's a performance I'll never forget.

Ambi subramanian. You have given your father a greatest gift in following the tradition and excelling in the art. It is only the blessing of the Devine one can follow the tradition. A lot of tapas has been done by your Father for you to achieve this proficiency. Pray you follow his footsteps and carry on to the next generation. Blessed I am to listen to your Devine music. Grateful for the upload.

Both Indian and Western music have gained immeasurably from each other. The depth and the harmony in this is certainly due to the Western influenze. The quantum leap in linear variations in the Western music is undeniably from Indian music. Let the whole world integrate for mutual benefit!
@tungavidyavijaya89604 жыл бұрын
lol......Indian classical remained the same for thousands of years....It's already filled with depth and harmony.....
@nanhshirk4 жыл бұрын
@@tungavidyavijaya8960 It is not that one is better than the other. What I am saying is that in Indian classical music, there is no functional harmony. While the lead plays a melody (which western music cannot match), the accompaniments play sustained sounds and tone clusters. As an example, even in western pop music, while the lead plays a melody (within a limited range) the drums with its limited range is supported by the base and the counter notes of the back-ground instruments or seconds. This is the reason fusion (traditionalists wrinkle their nose) creates more euphony.

Subramaniam is as ancient a name as India itself. The name evokes age old traditions of art forms that have challenged the onslaught of time, innovations and modernity. A huge applause to this outstanding intellectual effort to transcends time and keeps India forever awake. Words cannot describe! What a grandiose moment !!

This so cool! I am jazz vioin player and I like this. Listen the desapered violin player "Juan Reynoso". It is a person who never studied music and despite this he played and composed a lot of music inspired in some popular music from his land! is not like this but I think that we have to share music from every part, because we are all humans and music is the language of the world! Saludos!

To be honest that performance supersedes any other I have watched. It is even westernized and comes out at number 1! It seems his son has the same gift for melodic sense and hopefully soon will be given a good chance to improvise in some Raga.
