Sir, correct me if I am wrong but you said at 1:20 that respective banks decide their base Rates. According to me, Base Rate is decided by RBI directives........anyways excellent lecture, keep it up...............

What's d point introducing bandhan bank to help needy people when sbi or bob etc are already present in rural areas to lend money?? bandhan bank itself borrow from these banks, then why not directly sbi etc lend money

Please correct me if m wrong, m also learning :): If more amount is granted to PSL (interest rate are low on this sector), then to meet target, bank will have to increase the rate of interest for non-PSL loans, which will reduce demand, and thus value of things might drop (i.e. deflation may occur), again as banks couldn't meet targets, banks might go in debts, even if they think to take LAF or MSF loans from RBI, they still would not be able to pay it back.. on other hand side, since demand decreased for goods, deflation may occur...
