They kinda just did what Geissele did with their upper. -QD’s -Anti-rotation tabs built into the receiver -Even the aesthetic of the rail looks the same

If anyone would like third party data showing the modtac at over 500 degrees after 90 rounds it’s available. It also delaminated and came apart. Photos available as well

So if you’re using the L89 with another upper besides the SOLGW, do those extensions just become rotation tabs? Or does this hand guard only work with the SOLGW upper?

TLDR is yes for most modern free floated handguards. They have two models, one that would work with any rail that has a MLOK at the 3 and 9 o'clock, the other that indexes off any standard height 12 o'clock top rail.

@@ARFCOMNews good to know on the suppressor cover but I was meaning the actual L89 handguard. And I was asking if the rotation tabs that lock into the SOLGW upper receiver. 1. Is that handguard compatible with other uppers besides the broadsword upper? 2. If they are compatable with other uppers such as BCM or Aero, do those tabs just become anti rotation tabs?

They are a great company for sure. I know you didn't ask me this question (BTW). The L89 Rail is great, like fuckin tits bro. I swapped out my M76 with a L89 and couldn't be happier. It is just a shame that LMT has held the AR industry and inovation back for so long with their mono patents. @@KtW1198

$350 for a suppressor cover... costs more than most suppressor-width handguards, which will be cheaper, lighter, stronger, and just as capable. Solution to a problem that doesnt exist imo

@totenfurwotan4478 I mean... this doesn't fix that issue. Any heat drawn from the suppressor is going to get dumped into the handguard via the mlok mount.
