La Cañada Flintridge is a city in Los Angeles County, California, with a population of 20,246 in 2010. It is located in the Crescenta Valley and far western end of the San Gabriel Valley, to the northwest of Pasadena. It is the home of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory

I grew up in La Cañada. The name is pronounced "Lah-ken-yah-dugh". The streets of La Cañada actually begin @5:48. I also went to Paradise Canyon Elementary, shown at @9:09. Loved living here!

I'm growing up here and it really is a hidden paradise in LA that not many people think of. It's like a bubble, a great bubble.

Grew up in LCF. So glad others appreciate it! My parents bought their house there for 280k back in the day. I ran on the lcxc team and did 9 miles a day in that town. So wonderful. I miss it.

Oh my gosh... I absolutely love La Cañada! My uncle lives here and I'm happy when visiting this place bcz it's so fcking beautiful! The palms, the trees, the mountains... Everything there is so perfect! Thanks for great video! 👍

I lived in La Canada Flintridge for many years before I left LA...used to walk to church...close to everything...best during Christmas...beautiful mountain views...am homesick...thanks for posting...

Yes, great Korean, Asian, Armenian populations - some of the best math schools in the world. Beautiful schools well-maintained and with running tracks.

Nice place, plenty of wild life too.. mountain lion, cougar, cyotes, brown bears, raccoons, dears.. people are very friendly. very clean and fresh place to be. Thank you for sharing.. awesome video.

At JPL, re: "Jet Propulsion laboratory?" Dozens of Deer literally live, graze, walk around the campus just like they're people. I came out from a Toastmasters' group for a break one night, about maybe 8 p.m. or so - all you could see were EYES in the black night. Deer chilling, upwards of 40 just sitting there - checking things out. No place darker on Earth once the sun goes down. Mountain Lions hang OFF the property hoping to catch them a deer. Saw one deer literally smoking a cigarette.

Don't know what it's like now with all the fentinal, but back in my days, the amount of drugs was astonishing, compared to Fairfax High on Fairfax and Melrose, where I was bussed to the visual arts magnet program, living still in Tujunga. In La Cañada, we lived on Hampstead st, or rd (don't remember now). Took the horse trail shortcut to school every day, right behind the backyard! Generally, very peaceful and calm place to live at, but the spoiled rich brats sure loved to party. In Tujunga, we lived at the end of Hillhaven ave, and beginning of Tranquil dr. Loved the wildlife there.

Hey, Drive with me, I enjoy and love your videos about LA and surrounding neighborhoods, but if you can create another channel, if you don't want to tarnish this one, under different name to show the ugly parts of LA, too, like Pacoima, Canoga Park, East LA, Watts, Compton, South Central LA, skid row, and other undesirable places to live around LA, we the present viewers will enjoy as well. Dang. Any home under $2 million is foreclosure and 'low end'. $2+ is recommended from what I saw on Zillow for La Canada.

and he means LITERALLY no apt buildings - I don't even think La Canada Flintridge PERMITS zoning for apartment buildings. Their city council/people will run anyone out of town that threatens the sanctity of La Canada. Fast food restaurants/Economy gas stations also mostly non-existant. The People of La Canada preserve their area - they're ALL at their City Council meetings - they all take a responsibility in maintaining 'La Canada' for others and for the future. For East Coasters it's like a Westport CT. -Westport CT is as close as you can come to 'describing' La Canada. Beautiful shoppe's. .

I lived in an apartment in La Canada-Flintridge. My view out my living room was the entire LA city below. It was magical at night. Right off Foothill. The apartments aren’t advertised

it's most accessible off of the '2 North' Freeway which brings you to Foothill Boulevard, i.e. the 210E and 210W. The 2 is a great freeway - and driving into this area (from the 2) is extraordinarily beautiful. You get the full drum roll of the San Gabriel Mountains..

You even turned left on the street my best friend's grandparents lived, and took in the troublemaker he was 😂! I slept behind the gas station on that very corner for a whole week, after my mother kicked me out of the house for refusing to be her husband's construction site free child laborer anymore (was too scared of possible coyotes, to sleep under the Berkshire ave bridge). Those were the days, but kids, call the cops before your parents destroy you!
