LA City Council Member Nury Martinez resigns amid racism scandal

"I ask for forgiveness from my colleagues and from the residents of this city that I love so much. In the end, it is not my apologies that matter most; it will be the actions I take from this day forward. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to make amends," she said in a statement Monday.

That just means her resignation isn't of any real consequence to her. If she had a lot to lose by resigning she would be fighting to stay in her position. This is just to help the city council maintain there progressive facade in the eyes of the peasants.

I usually don’t defend Democrats, especially these people who never do anything to improve communities…remember, these people are the same ones who agree with transitioning minors into other sexes. Having said that,I don’t know people’s hearts, but I will say this: Without knowing the race of the child, in a Hispanic context, what she said didn’t sound out of the ordinary to me…She sounded like she was just criticizing bad parenting and a child who couldn’t sit still. “Parece chamguito” is a phrase that the vast majority of Hispanic parents have used on their own children who don’t listen and can’t be still for a second. It has no racial connotations whatsoever. If this woman did it with racial intentions, I don’t know, you can’t conclude that just be hearing the recording. I think she shot herself in the foot by apologizing…the Left will eat their young anyway…she probably had a hope that an apology would save her job. The Left is a monster with no morals and will crush you even if you’re on their side.
