Anyone beyond the age of wearing pull-ups would understand that they are not only complicit, but they are also contributors, just listen to the entire conversation, their plan was to conspire, to erect policies to harm groups who does not serve them. Look, all I would say is for Sunny's mum to have to hear racist remark about black people and know that her husband and daughter (Sunny) must be shocking for her mother to hear. @@Adam-nw1vy Fair enough, and I respect where you currently land on these things. As far as how I see it, I actually agree with you that it doesn’t make sense for anyone to expect others to fight our own causes. It would be very hard for me to support Latino causes if I were to base it solely off of the discrimination and prejudice I’ve received from SOME (my roommate was just one example). All I’m saying is that no people group with millions of members is a monolith. Do I trust ignorant folks to be an ally? No. But will I overgeneralize and assume that an individual person must not be an ally simply based on their ethnicity or heritage? I can’t do that. (Anymore than I would assume that someone is kinfolk just because they’re skinfolk.) I have too little room for stereotypes of any kind to do that to someone else, because I know what it does to me.

She then realized what was happening was something more serious. Wehmeier-Aparicio was nearly hit by the SUV Brooks is charged with driving in the attack. Brooks is not a member of the NRA! Saying terms like colorless and "I do not see color" is outdated, wrong, inconsiderate and racist within itself. We obviously see the difference in each other skin tones and that should not be ignored. So if someone was mistreated, assaulted or not given the same opportunity because of their color, your logic would go completely against the grain of their miss justice. It not just okay to see color, it okay to acknowledge it.

Personally, as a Southeast Asian woman who has lived in predominantly Black, Latino, Asian neighborhoods-- tension between any marginalized communities absolutely exists. Ive heard every group imaginable discuss other marginalized groups as inferior. I don't think tension is exclusive between any community. That being said, racism/discrimination exists between groups. But the power structure of this country is White-- that means white legislators creating laws, shaping and teaching history courses, creating and producing mass media. What is being taught cascades down to communities of color.

You know what Ana said at 3:27 is so true, minorities can be racist against each other, and I think it's unconscious in a way. One of my co-workers was referred to as being Indian, and she had to correct the person and say she was Pakistani. I know you can't make assumptions based on how people look, but this co-workers response was, Indians are darker than Pakistani's. I think my jaw dropped and I didn't say anything, because I didn't even know how the various skin tones of both groups was pertinent to the conversation. I'm aware of the bad blood that still exists today between Indians and Pakistani's based on their history. But this is a young girl who has to be under 30, so that was just telling me that her parents had ingrained that racism in her at an early age.
