This game could easily be adapted into a 2-3 season TV show

The sequel should be a P.I. game. This way it'll give the player more freedom with cases and side quests. L.A. Noire can't do side quest or act ivies because you are on the clock. If you are a private eye, you can do anything you want. Not only will it give more gameplay variety and freedom, the narrative will be opened up for more possibilities too.

Being lectured is a big issue nowadays. I couldn't sit through half an hour of Da 5 Bloods. I thought I was being spoonfed black culture. Felt like Spike Lee didn't think white people know or could know anything about that. The Dialogue is so blatantly lecturing.

I’m just not watching this, but I think the description between Mafia 3 and LA Noires depictions of racism are not the same because narratively, racism is a part of the story of Mafia 3. The main character in Mafia 3 is a mixed raced veteran in the American south during the height of the civil rights movement, and that’s a important part of the story. LA Noire happens to take place in a time where racism was very prevalent, but it’s main characters are white, and it story isn’t about racism, so of course it’s not a focus.

This video could be about half the length, you ramble on for about two minutes about game mechanics being objectively or subjectively good or bad and say the same thing over and over. We as an audience are not idiots we don’t need things read out 1 million times to understand them. This is just constructive criticism I enjoyed the video overall.

I wish it had a more GTA/RDR based Free Roam. After a case, you can hang your hat after a long day of work and explore the city, go drinking, gamble, whatever.

Cole and his partners talk about him being married at times throughout the story. It’s mentioned often enough that you know he’s married.

The game was boring for me. The appeal of the facial tech and searching for clues quickly got old, and essentially we were left with a big empty open world.

LA Noire is such an amazing experience! Deserves to be made a sequel if not at least remastered. Amazing critique video

I love Cole Phelps, he is probably one of the most relatable protagonists I’ve ever played as. I played this game right after I played Mafia: definitive edition, and it’s amazing how the stories of people from both sides can be so compelling. I could totally see Cole and Tommy Angelo sitting down at a bar and chatting about police corruption.

Hey Luke, I have something to say that I think you might dig. I'm a guy who's old enough to be your dad and I have a young autistic son (9 yrs old) that absolutely loves your content. You have a certain way about you that both kids and adults like. You seem to be a smart guy, very soft-spoken and extremely level-headed. Both my son and I, (his name isn't icky btw, just a nickname) look forward to your content every week.

Loved this game, wish someone would release the "lost" burglary desk cases as a DLC - Not likely, though :(

I have a weird history with this game. First time I played it, I tried to like it but stopped because it was so slow and boring.

I’d love a sequel to this game. Sure, some of the mechanics were clunky but the storytelling, the world building and the characters are all very well made!

You really need to see LA Confidential. This game is an on the nose homage to that film. Your commentary would have really benefited from having seen that, because the LA LA Land comparison is moot with that in place.

Huh, I guess I'm weird for an American, when I think of LA I think "Shit hole", not "Olympia".
