MAN!!! It's been a crazy journey since I got into fragrances back in 2008!!! I miss the days of Tim (swettscoff if I remember his name), MyMickers (RIP buddy!), Guinea54/64 (dude that uploaded a funny video of a rapper that resembled you because everyone wanted to know how did you have that kind of money for fragrances LMAO!), Joey Cannoli (funny guy and reviewer!), and I am sure I am forgetting a few (FragStewie, JR)! You guys really were the pioneers that inspired the newer and younger generation of fragrance reviewers! It's always great to see you and you're still uploading and keeping us up to date! Really Appreciate it!

Great review my friend! My daughter brought me 3 bottles of this from Madrid at retail price last year. Having 2 bottles of the original formula plus these 3 I am covered for the rest of my life. They are pretty similar . Best wishes from Mexico.

What makes Bleu Electrique so good is exactly what you're saying, its very close to the Original formulation of La Nuit. I absolutely love it, I'm sure you will as well after a few wearing's - honestly its like they put a little bit more of the original L'Homme on top of it.

@@pradeep_sekar Its a good thing bc now you don't have to hunt down and spend $200+ on a vintage batch. Bleu Electrique is reminiscent of the original and at the same time different enough to be its own thing - the dry down is different as well. Its a slight fresher take on the original with original formula vibes. Its stronger than current watered down batches of La Nuit. Not a cash grab imho. Their take on a slightly more versatile/modern version of La Nuit.

I thought the exact same as you, when I bought it I thought it smelled exactly the same as the original. It's the perfect example of why you shouldn't always trust other people's judgement when it comes to hype

I have the OG La Nuit and picked up a bottle of this after testing. I liked it enough for the small twist on the original. They played it safe and didn't stray too far. If you don't have the OG formulation it would be more worth it.

I’ve always wanted the bleu électrique because of the hype and praise that fragrance get and I must say after owning a bottle . I wasn’t impressed maybe it does last longer than it’s counterpart and that’s about it

Honestly, the only “Bleu” thing about this fragrance is the color of the juice. I got this at retail and definitely don’t regret it but I certainly wouldn’t pay more than that. It’s also not the performance beast that some have hyped it up as being. I’d say if you don’t find the current formulation of the standard LNDL to be performing well, this is a good alternative because the performance on it, while not beast mode, is still pretty solid. If you have a vintage formulation of the original LNDL, then this is a redundant purchase in my opinion.

If I was the fan of Original Le Nuit should I get this one? as I have the latest formulation of Le Nuit De L'Homme and it smells nothing like the original. so I am a fan of anything that can get me near the OG formula. And where I am from it is available and do not have to pay extra to get one

If you can get to sniff where you are from a tester you'll know more from your question. that's my recommendation. I've only worn this once and it felt like my original with minor changes making it thinner.

I've heard that FW's Jack of Clubs is a very good alternative? Yet to find a clone that nails the original formulation of LNDL, but they're really all in the same ballpark. I'm with you Marc. They should do something else with it. Heck, where was the oud flanker eh? Even Frozen Cologne could've had an Eau Fraiche flanker with a DHC 2013 twist. Honestly though...if I see LNDL Elixir...I swear to gawwwwwwwd....😆 BaNG, ZooM, STRAIGHT to the moon!

I'd recommend to start looking for scents that utilize notes that aren't too prominent in perfumery, perhaps find a few scents with a pear note, mint is beautiful in the summer.

A very fair take on this one. It's not bad by any means i just don't think it's as good as the original... To me it's cleaned up and the wow factor completely stripped away. Lacks that sexiness i got from the og lol

I hear both of you. I started getting into fragrances in 2012 and also started watching reviews. I would watch reviews from the guys you mentioned and it feels weird that a lot of the OG reviewers including Cubby aren't reviewing anymore. Though, it makes sense because life happens. I hope they're all good.

I own both Bleu and Eau Electrique, got Eau Electrique as a gift (wife mistakenly purchased Eau instead of Bleu). I’ve heard many have made that mistake…both are just ok nothing special. I’ll likely resell both

This one smelled so similar to the original LNDH that I sold mine. I still have a 2011 LNDH bottle that lasts longer than the Bleu l, so I saw no need. Bleu Electrique is better than newer LNDH batches, I’ll say that!

Don’t get the hype about Eros either 🤷🏼. This one however is really nice, close to the original with very little change but very nice. Better than current formulation (mostly also because of some slightly added sweetness from ginger).

I dunno mate, I love the stuff ! its not a 10 but id say a solid 8.5/9. Can use anywhere anytime , chicks dig it and longevity is better then the OG (current bottles are trash). yea YSL should just make the OG as good as it was back in the day so this is kinda strange but thats not Bleus fault. Its a great scent and got a couple bottles in case its totaly removed globally not just in North america.

You're right: it's nothing new and I wasn't too impressed. I actually bought mine retail from Macy's when they had stock and I got the smaller bottle for a "decent" price and it was "okay." I don't think I've ever been a major fan of the La Nuit DNA, but I do like the Eau de Parfum quite a bit. Flankers never really excite me, anyways.

We are on exactly the same page on Eros. That and Dylan Blue make me queasy. I dont understand the attraction. This, on the other hand, is nice. There is no way Im paying a premium for Bleu Electrique. So, I will move on. I have a first year L'Homme, Gingembre, Libre, and Frozen and that is going to be enough for me.
