Exclusive 4K footage of La Palma's (in)famous volcano, Cumbre Vieja, few days before it stoped erupting!
Since Dec 13 the volcano has shown no earth tremors, and after 10 days without activities, the authorities declared the eruption over on Christmas Day.
Since erupting on 19 September, the Cumbre Vieja volcano destroyed more than 3,000 properties and hundreds of acres of farmland on "La Isla Bonita". More than 7,000 people were forced to leave their homes as lava closed in.
While visiting La Palma, beginning of December, we had the chance to capture the last terrifying images of this 3-months eruption. We couldn't help but think to all the lives affected and we hope that this news bring them some relief.
