I was twelve when it opened up....like John!....I was totally in his shoes....the people in theathre knew it was gonna be big but man oh man...NOBODY expected THIS!....when T-1000 started morphing on screen people acted like they ve just seen a fucking U F O!....AND NOT JOST THAT...FROM FIRST FRAME OF T2 TO ITS LAST it was just a neverending rows of WOW, WOW, WOW AND THEN SOME!....I will tell my grandchildren that this, Aliens, Predator, Die hard ect. were something that will never be repeated....when everything was done in camera and was often dangerous and potentaly fatal to shoot there were legends like McTiernan, Cameron, R. Scoot who refused to give up their vision and gave their all for adrenalin macho no brakes, no pc no woke and no pg13 crap to make films that will be cool a 100 years from now....damn that black truck haunted my dreams!...Its scarier than any monster or wild bad beast that just won t stop!!!....Godzilla!

Robert Patrick gave one of the best supporting actor performances of all time in this film. Everything from his stiff body language, to his emotionless yet still determined facial expressions. There's never been a better depiction of a killer machine from the future than his! Everything about it is 100% top tier acting!

James Cameron's attention to detail in action is what makes his stuff so great. If you watch Robert Patrick when he first starts firing on the Terminator in the hallway; he doesn't flinch. This apparently took a great amount of practice to achieve. But Cameron was insistent, as he said a machine would not flinch. Brilliant.

Also I was always wondering, how T-1000 sees the world. One thing that doesn't get mentioned enough with T2 is just how absolutely gorgeous the sound was in most of the movie. I love watching it with good solid volume on appropriate media channels and the crispness of the shots, hits, and action is just incredible. Like when T1000 fires that Beretta at John for the first time. The sound of the gun, it hitting the Pepsi can and that distinct "pop", then the sound of it hitting Arnold's back and taking into account the metal endoskeleton

5:00 This scene is taken from an older version of the movie that still has the continuity error of the window falling out from the impact when the semi lands, then the very next shot that shows the T-1000 driving also shows the window back in place, just with a few cracks. The newer releases of Terminator 2 used CGI to change it so the window doesn’t fall out, fixing that continuity error. They didn’t fix the continuity error at 5:23 though. Search “Terminator 2 Truck-Chase Remastered” if you want to see the fixed version.
