This real limestone wall one kilometer long and eighty meters high, which is constantly undermined by the river and frost, has dug hundreds of rock shelters and long air terraces. These natural cavities have been occupied by man since prehistoric times, and then modified in the Middle Ages, becoming a fortress and cave city until the beginning of the Renaissance.
