L’un des serveurs nous a raconté que quelques jours plus tôt, ils ont eu un groupe d’environ 40 personnes, et la facture était de 18.000$ . Donc nous a coté, on a payé des miettes 😉

Le Congo exagère quand meme avec les prix. Donc ce restaurant c’est seulement pour le riche. Les gens viennent s’enrichir aux Congo kaka boye. Ce mm Hilton ici aux USA c’est ne mm cher comme ça. Même dans d’autre pays comme Nairobi, c’est abordable mais au Congo quand mm c’est trop.

@@idailunga2346C’est vrai mais il faut aussi reconnaître que Hilton est une chaîne internationale qui est obligée de maintenir un certain standard des prix dans ses restaurants. Tomahawk par exemple coûte pratiquement environ ce prix partout dans les restaurants de haut standing. Donc rien avoir avec le Congo.

You’re welcome ☺️ To my knowledge, there’s not a single etablishment that accepts American Express in Kinshasa. The Hilton Hotel used to, but not through their terminals, they had to send me a special form by email that I had to fill out and send back. It was basically a signed Affidavit that granted them the right to charge my Amex Business Blue Plus so I could pay for the suite. But I was told they stopped doing that since the election last December.

Tsumbu I understand you can’t pay with Amex but can you at least use points to book hotel room at Hilton Kinshasa through MR points?

Hello, Yes, you can pay with your Hilton points. You can book with your Amex or using your points through Booking.com or any other travel platforms. You just can’t physically use your card at the property in Kinshasa.

La tragi-comédie de chez nous: un steak 🥩 au quart du prix d’une suite dans un hôtel 5 étoiles! Pour quelle raison une chambre ne coûterait-elle pas environ le prix ailleurs au monde de 10 steaks, par exemple ? L’état au coma? Qu’est-ce qui manque au Congo pour produire de la viande? Rien. Absolument rien.

I am not sure that they have a dress code. Look at the way Sarah was dressed : Some shorts and a tee-shirt, so very casual. I had a jeans and shirt, so that should give you an idea.
