La villa degli amanti maledetti è una dimora abbandonata da tempo.
La sua storia è avvolta da una leggenda macabra, ma anche da una verità storica più complessa.
Secondo la leggenda, la villa fu teatro di un tragico fatto di sangue nel 1912, quando il proprietario sorprese la moglie a letto con lo stalliere e li uccise entrambi con il suo fucile da caccia, per poi suicidarsi.
Da allora, la villa sarebbe infestata dai fantasmi degli amanti maledetti, che si manifesterebbero con strani bagliori e rumori inquietanti.
Tuttavia, la verità storica smentisce questa versione dei fatti.
La villa fu costruita alla fine degli anni 20 da Pietro Cerri, un ricco proprietario terriero, che visse lì fino alla sua morte nel 1969.
Una cartolina del 1931 mostra il padrone di casa vivo e vegeto, smentendo così l’evento tragico del 19121. La villa e i suoi terreni furono poi venduti negli anni Settanta alla famiglia Sempio, proprietari di Curtiriso.
La leggenda degli amanti maledetti potrebbe essere nata dalla fusione di due vicende di cronaca locale: l’omicidio di un’intera famiglia nel Vecchio Mulino e una tresca amorosa tra due ex salariati di Villa Cerri. Queste storie, unite allo stato di abbandono e alla sinistra atmosfera della villa, hanno alimentato la curiosità e la paura di chi si avventura nelle sue vicinanze, contribuendo a mantenere viva la leggenda degli amanti maledetti e dei fantasmi che infestano Villa Cerri.

The Mansion of Cursed Lovers is a long abandoned mansion.
Its history is shrouded in a macabre legend, but also a more complex historical truth.
According to legend, the mansion was the scene of a tragic blood event in 1912, when the owner caught his wife in bed with the stable boy and killed them both with his shotgun, then committed suicide.
Since then, the mansion has allegedly been haunted by the ghosts of the cursed lovers, who would manifest themselves with strange glows and eerie noises.
However, historical truth belies this version of events.
The villa was built in the late 1920s by Pietro Cerri, a wealthy landowner, who lived there until his death in 1969.
A postcard from 1931 shows the landlord alive and well, thus debunking the tragic event of 19121. The villa and its grounds were later sold in the 1970s to the Sempio family, owners of Curtiriso.
The legend of the cursed lovers may have arisen from the fusion of two local news stories: the murder of an entire family in the Vecchio Mulino and a love affair between two former Villa Cerri salarymen. These stories, combined with the abandoned state and sinister atmosphere of the villa, have fueled the curiosity and fear of those who venture into its vicinity, helping to keep alive the legend of the cursed lovers and the ghosts that haunt Villa Cerri.
