The new government in Andhra Pradesh, led by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has started the distribution of pensions under the 'NTR Bharosa' social pension scheme. This initiative, launched on Monday morning, marks the first pension distribution by the new administration. The Chief Minister personally handed over pensions to beneficiaries in Penumaka, Mangalagiri constituency. Beneficiaries received a total of ₹7,000, which includes ₹4,000 for the current month and an additional ₹3,000 as a three-month increment starting from April.
Minister Nara Lokesh accompanied CM Chandrababu Naidu during this event, receiving a warm welcome from the local residents. The pension distribution will continue statewide, benefiting 65.18 lakh recipients. The state government has allocated ₹4,408 crores for this purpose, involving approximately 1,20,097 staff members in the distribution process. This initiative is a step towards fulfilling the election promises in the first month of the coalition government.
