There are a couple of new members of staff at Tewkesbury Abbey in Gloucestershire to welcome visitors - in the shape of two lovely labradors, Eric and Florence. They’ve been made deputy vergers at the historic building and have even been used as therapy dogs for some visitors. Our Gloucestershire reporter, Steve Knibbs, has been to meet them…

So amazing. My beloved soul dog was also called Flossie! So wonderful!! I wonder if that means you'll be celebrating St Francis in October and inviting our companion animals in for blessings?!!! Oh I do hope so.
