I've heard bpd is an insanely crippling disease. People with bpd, Asperger's Syndrome, and OCD have memories that can be so strong to the point where you feel other's are reading your mind. It's incredibly scary as you feel judged and powerless. I know. I've lived it my whole life with Asperger's. But beyond the storm that that all is, what is left and where does the healing start? In vulnerability. Then, it's just you and who else? Nobody? NO. The LORD JESUS is with you. His eternal thoughts will keep your heart safe through the Holy Ghost along with is ultimate sacrifice. You do not need to be ashamed of your past if you have been washed with the blood of Christ. Your old life, your transgressions and shame cannot touch you ever again. God bless you and you can receive victory and rest in Jesus' Name! 👍⚔✝

My mother died in 2017. I had taken care of her for six years. I saw her go through open heart surgery and strokes and dementia and amputations and suffering. Her big fear was that I would not get by without her. I was a lazy and worthless son. Until her heart attack taking care of her built me into a person capable of living. She held on and fought so long to live... She had an oxygen machine that sounded like the beginning of this song. I found her dead in the living room. In the morning She must have died in her sleep. She held on so long I think only really for me. And the night before the funeral I heard this song and it destroyed me. She was sending me a message through your music.

I remember reading her blog one day and there was a story about one of her sons going to the hospital and there wasn't much she could do and how he wanted the comfort of his mom and I think that's what this song is about. If it is it isn't I love that she puts her everything into her music. You're amazing Lacey!

I went thru the same exact thing. In hospital hoping my mom or dad would love me enough to show up and the docs saying no one is coming and my husband was truck driving and he wouldn't come and they ended sending me to bmed and that's when the nightmare started

I've been having a bad time my emotions and feeling overwhelmed with my life lately. I've been feeling like everything has been my fault and letting the people I care about that's around me down of the bad things that had happened to me. today I was looking at some of my old music that I've saved and I listened to one that was when Lacey was in Flyleaf. I looked up Lacey's new music. After listening to one song it felt like all that worried and scared about was lifted from my chest. Like God lifted them from me and has given me the strength that I needed to fight though my battle. Thank you God, and Lacey for the songs that you give us. And to everyone I hope you are having a good day.

I agree she has always had a passion for the music and such life in her songs. That was what first brought me to Flyleaf. Kinda sad that the bad as a whole is gone but the music lives on. Never was big on the Christian aspect of some of the music but good music is good music.

Exactly! I was brought to Flyleaf as a Christian, and even though I don’t consider myself religious anymore, I like the fact that her music still can be meaningful and inspiring to anyone, Christian or not. At least, that’s how I see it; there’s many quotes that stick out to this day and keep me going even when life is tough. ^^

When I had to go into a medically induced coma and a cannulation into my heart to save my life I wished my sister would have had this song with her. She &I are like twins we always are holding each other up very powerful song still glad I can show it to her now that I am home with her

I love this song so much. I have been battling a very bad autoimmune disease (no not AIDS) since I was 6, and I have been in remission a few times but it's been really rough lately. I spent the past year in and out of the hospital with a deadly illness on top of my AI disease acting up and in an abusive relationship all at the same time, and in December I spent time in ICU and made the hospital my home. I couldn't eat for almost a month and the hospital refused to put me on a feeding tube until I started having heart pains. I felt death upon me. I knew I was going to die soon. But God gave me hope and he kept his promise to me that he would bring me out of the darkness. He was there with me in the hospital when my own friends and family wouldn't come see me. I cannot ever thank him enough for what he has done for me. I am now almost four months out of the hospital at home and with a reversible ileostomy. I go for my next surgery soon. God never lies. Things might not happen when we want them to or when we think they need to happen, but trust me, everything happens at the perfect timing if you let him. I will hold this composition piece close to my heart as I do with the Lord and God.

When I was little I remember my mom and dad used to listen to Lacey strums music (specifically this album) when it first came out, and I remember I couldn’t sleep at night without this CD playing to help me fall asleep. and I just think it was always really comforting to me ever since I was 5 years old. I just wanted to share that.

Kinda need this song right now,the holidays are hard for me and I have a couple death anniversaries on dec 31 and jan 12.ive been having alot of depression and Lacey's music always helps
