One day he gonna call for backup when he does this to the person and is getting his ass wooped, them officers will take their sweet time getting there using side streets and busiest routes to get there, karma is b*tch and maybe this why they diffused the situation properly rather than going hands on because they could see this was their opportunity to make that "anonymous" complaint and hopefully have the backstabbing idiot sacked.

then nobody would want to be a cop. you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater. you want qualified immunity gone? sure, sounds like a nice thought. unfortunately the world isn't cookies and ice cream. you get rid of qualified immunity, NO ONE is going to apply to be a cop. $50k salary per year plus benefits, come join us ! oh and by the way every single time you go out on the job, not only are you putting yourself in danger from injury, trauma, and possibly even death, now you will also be putting yourself in constant total risk of having the full weight of the law on your shoulders!!! apply today !!! You want qualified immunity gone, sure. But you're going to have to find another incentive to get people to become cops. Okay, try giving them more pay. Oh, but you don't want that, do you? Of course you don't, you seethe at the idea of cops getting more money for their job. Okay, what about more benefits like insurance ? No no no, that's more tax dollars!! What about longer vacations? Nope, because then there will be a shortage of police officers during holidays. So what then? How about this: you shut the fuck up before you spout nonsense without a solution.

If the officer just complied with the civilian, he wouldn't have been investigated and found guilty of neglecting his job as an officer. 😄 He didn't want to help his comrades in the knife situation. He wanted to sit and wait his shift out, and he had the audacity to call for backup over something so ridiculous. He wants to watch his back because I doubt anyone is watching it for him. He won't have the backup he needs in the future if he can't be bothered to help his colleagues in an actual situation.

It's their Communist style police union making it almost impossible to fire incompetent or corrupt police officers. There's a similar situation with the teacher's union, who have made the process for termination of employment so convoluted and expensive that it is cheaper to have teachers come into work in the morning, do nothing all day, then go home when school ends, and receive a full salary and benefits. The teacher's union and the policeman's union are cut from the same cloth!

When a police officer asserts that you've committed harassment and asks to see your ID, you're not allowed to refuse to do so, that's because civilians don't have the right to decide whether they've committed a crime or not. Someone claiming a torch being faced at them with the statement of are you ok as harrassment would not grant authority for ID and would not be classed as reasonable suspicion, all officers in that scene should have told the sergeant that, which actually makes them complicit with attempted rights infringements.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he is suffering from PTSD from some previous encounter. All the info we get from this interesting case study is typical of such like. This post traumatic stress disorder manifests itself in the parking up in quiet areas where he or she feels safe and we also know he was reluctant or slow to answer calls on occasion etc. He is also over the top with speech or action to members of the public which gives himself an added security. This needs looking into asap by the LT or Captain or occupational health dept, mainly so he can get appropriate help if needed. Seen this behaviour a few times over the years, it seems to follow the same pattern. He feels he can’t get away from the imagined or perceived danger even though a quick risk assessment or a run of the NDM would discount any risk. He was probably embarrassed at getting called out on this and that’s why he flew of the handle. Inwardly he would like to get another line work off the street but can’t because of lifestyle/ family/financial problems .

The fact that this man is a Supervisor, and failed to respond to someone assaulting people with a knife, yet summoned 4 patrol cars on a couple kids with cameras asking if he was okay makes me seethe with anger. What a total misuse of taxpayers money. This guy should be fired, no questions asked, or at least demoted and made to attend additional training. The fact that he got a weeks suspension is a joke. Not only that, but in his interview he doubled down on his bullshit that these people were harassing him and blamed the responding officers for not having his back against a couple of kids with cameras and actually de-escalating a situation in which no crime was committed, when he literally left his fellow officers to deal with a man armed with a knife while he sat in a parking lot for an entire shift probably watching Netflix or jacking off to pornhub. This guy is a disgrace! I mean wtf did he want the other officers to do, go code 5 on these kids? Taze them and cuff them? Impressive! These guys did a superb job of standing up for themselves, and by extension, every Citizen. Exposure of officers such as Sgt. Jack for the tyrants they are should lead to their dismissal. Sgt. Jack was caught red-handed being derelict in his duties and that's why he became so aggressive.

@@anthonykelly1901 yup! It all adds up on this cop: if he had nothing to hide he would not have been so triggered.

Absolutely. He was so defensive. Afraid he was filmed sleeping. I wish those guys had gone back and caught him sleeping. The corrupt cops above him couldn't have ignored video of him sleeping on the job.
