Goal or no goal? Heacock's bar down, post and out shot

7 жыл бұрынIn the 2017 national championship game, Maryland attackman Colin Heacock shot the ball off the crossbar, the post and then the ground where it bounced back out after possibly crossing the goal line.
To count as a goal, the entire ball needs to completely cross the goal line.
My best guess is that the ball did not completely cross the line and even if it did, I don't think there is not indisputable video evidence that it did which would have resulted in the call being overturned if a challenge or instant replay was available.

It's a goal but without clear evidence, it's impossible for the ref to call it

No goal. Probably by 1/16th of an inch. But the slow motion shows white pellets in the air at the end.

If it touched the line at all it's still a goal. And it is a goal. It went passed the line

Lillian Cantabene no the ball has to be completely over the line to be considered a goal. Looks like it might be here but there's not enough clear evidence to say otherwise

Though if you did that, you would see that it's almost certainly not a goal since it appears likely that it at least hit part of the line.
