Great video, thanks for explaining this so clearly and in only 4 mins. I have a question, can the lactate that goes from muscles to the liver increase the growth of existing cancer cells in the liver in the case of a patient with liver metastasis? Thanks

Thank you for the kind words on the video! That's a very good question, and one I don't feel equipped to properly answer as don't have specialization in cancer cells metabolism. Only a note here on the potential role of lactate in anaerobic "starvation" of cells to aid in its combat.

Two things here: lactic acidosis is a common lethal endpoint for many disease processes. If the blood becomes acidic from too much lactic acid, then the cells and thus organs stop working.

Yes, Matt the world of lactic acid production and consequences are fascinating and too vast for a short video! My goal is to focus on keeping them informative, complex made simple, in less than 5 min. Thank you for the added information!

Hi Paul, yes the narrator is electronic generated and i'm getting the hang of the software along with testing some functionalities. Thanks for checking us out and for the feedback!

And, of course, important here for me to note that the narrator may be electronically generated, but not the content. All of it is orignally written ;)
