From this same stylistic vein - you need to check out Nightwish, the band with the biggest reputation in this genre. Gothic symphonic metal some call it. Quite a popular style of music in Europe.

The lead singer reminded me of Floor Jansen before I even saw your suggestion. I think Chod would get along well with the Nightwish Army. The best female vocalist in metal, and beyond metal, imo.

“Tripping the Darkness” is the song that I first heard from this Italian band, back in 2011. From their album “Dark Adrenaline”, the video is pretty cool too. I highly recommend taking a look/listen.

I had never heard this song or this band. I like it. I have to ask, can they play this live? I know that there is a lot of music that is given a little electronic tweaking. Hell, that goes back to synthesizers, wah pedals, electronic keyboards, etc. That started showing up with The Beatles, ELP, Black Sabbath, The Beach Boys, Pink Floyd, though not as heavy. Musicians use the tools they have whether it is an electric guitar, Electric Bass, microphones, light shows, But some of that you can't drag along on tour unless you're so stinking rich you have your own jet. I'll leave off my rant. As I said, I like it. Part of me yearns for the simplicity of a singer with a harmonica. Oh, that's right; I still have a lot of music on vinyl that I bought at concerts or record stores decades ago!

Try Within Temptation. Similar sound. Bit more operatic. Good song to start with would be either Angels or Memories.

The drummer from this video is Cristiano Mozzati. He was okay. Their current and previous drummer is much better. Listen to this song live. The 1:19 Show. Ryan Folden absolutely kills it. Listen to Blood, Tears, Dust and House of Shame or any of their newer stuff. It's way different than this. They got heavier and darker in a good way.
