These last couple years have had me listening to LC more and more. I lost interest for awhile after Karmacode because Andrea was basicallg just what I referred to as "Cristina's cue card". His vocals were bland at best and his parts really served no purpose to the song. I'm very glad tk see that has changed.

I feel like Andreas is filling a new role in the in the band and it's giving Christina room to play off him and bring the uniqueness that we've only really gotten glimpses of in their earlier career. Her high pitched falsettos are so clean and eerie. No one else can pull that off.

Yeah they changed it with the Delirium Album. No more clean vocals, less longer parts, more distortion over his voice, more growls and screams. Way more a counterpart to Cristina, which works very well.

Yes, they have improved immensely since they reduced his cleans and kept him on the harsh vocals. His Clean singing is pants, but he is a decent growler and compliments Christina very nicely. Tbh I would go as far as saying that they sound the best they have their entire career right now

This is a metal masterpiece from the driving force of the guitars and drums to the voices that compliment each other and the sound. Cristins’s vocals are sublime whilst Andrea are the perfect contrast. Love the song and love the album

Well, parts of Black Anima (Reckless and Layers of Time) sounds promising. So cool Lacuna Coil keep on trying new things. Experiments with sound and vocals make new albums unlike old ones, but worthly and unique.

Did u listen to the last record!? Last album that comment was totally true. In my opinion last record was there best so far. Unfortunately to me these 2 new singles chorus wise dont come close to anything on the last album and the riffs just feel like inferior versions of riffs on the last record. This song sounds a lot like take me home.

My first time experiencing Lacuna Coil was seeing them open for Disturbed on the Music As A Weapon IV tour with Killswitch Engage, back in 2008, I believe. They tore up the stage and I've been a fan ever since.

I have this album on repeat, bonus tracks included, since the day it came out because I am not able to listen to anything else even if I try. Even though I've known LC for more than 15 years, I have never felt as addicted to one of their albums as I am with this one (and, believe me, I've been very addicted to them at some points before). It is actually something that only happens to me once in a while: every few years I become so obsessed with an album, no matter the artist or the genre, that I can't stop listening and ends up leaving a huge mark on a certain period of my life, stuck in my memories forever. I don't know, maybe this arrived at the right time, but I can tell now that for this current, strange period of my life, a defining soundtrack has appeared, and I am so glad that it has to be, precisely, by them.

It really does just sound mind-blowing good. Her vocals, yeah, just amazing, the crushing dichotomy of the terrifying male vocal, the sick verse guitar riff, the smoking crazy solo, and subsequent creepy electroey breakdown. Well, damn, it just effing rocks so hard.

@@payne7473 I like both metal and goth music but I've heard about both subcultures being sometimes at odds with each other, which is silly because while both genres are different, they can still be combined to make good music and both subcultures have an affinity for dark and supernatural themes so there's more in common than people think

I've found my personal theme song! After 20 years of amazing music and my absolute favorite band for most of those this is a new pinnacle of perfection. Chirstina you are the dark angel of my dreams with the voice to match. Andi, absolutely on point with the growls, you've truly brought your "A" game to this album. I love the cloaks, absolutely badass! I WANT ONE! Especially Maki, the cloak and the face paint work to superb badassery. The phased guitar at 2:20 is an excellent touch. This song needs to be turned up to 11 in quadraphonic stereo to truly appreciate all of the detail and brain melting bass.
