Lacy got caught up on one of our Chicago storefront churches on south western avenue where the drums had no volume. In Chicago most churches spend most of the money on the b3 organ and the PA system.

malmsteen2013 just my opinion as an organist a decent organ should not always be in church but lacy as wonderful as he is can probably make trash cans sound holy 😁😁👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Yeah Lacy always give a full effort no matter the circumstances. Sometimes organist play to loud which kills all the tone from the rest of the band and makes everything sounds like a complete mess.

Yeah the c3 has more of a flat sound and most older c3 organs the leslie is broke. Definitely not as warm sounding as a b3.

I love these guys but I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t say/write this. Nowadays shout music is played to see what the musicians can do that we’d consider “ slick” or new or advanced or catchy. When I came up we played shout music because people were actually shouting 1st or we got the cue from the preacher because we trusted his lead. Not because we thought it was a good spot to slide it in due to the practice we put in….
