Tyla took part in LADbible's Snack Wars, as she tested some of the UK's best foods against meals from South Africa, including sausage rolls and beef jerky.
The 'Water' pop star tasted jam tarts and showed off her perfect British accent before comparing her childhood cereal to a UK classic.

@@Shane-wn1mk Jerky is made by dehydrating meat in a dehydrator while biltong is sun dried. Jerky has a firm but chewable texture while biltong is really hard and you kind of have to have strong teeth to enjoy it. Because of its hard texture, you always need a toothpick or floss cause it gets stuck in your teeth. Jerky is coated with a variety of spices while biltong is just salt and pepper flakes.

@@SineadmcdThat is the accent of coloured people in South Africa. Indians in South Africa are a completely separate group. They have their own accent. None of them talk like COLOURED PEOPLE do. Furthermore, Tyla and her entire family were born in South Africa. None of them have ever been to India. None of them speak or know any Indian language. In a recent interview Tyla herself was asked about her accent and she herself said that IT IS SOUTH AFRICAN. NOT INDIAN. Stop with the "Indian accent" nonsense. Stop wanting to give credit to others for African culture because African culture is now trendy and fashionable because of people like Tyla. Sorry that Tyla doesn't fit into the box y'all are constantly trying to fit her in. SHE IS SOUTH AFRICAN. SHE IS AFRICAN. End of story.

As an English man they shouldn't have put a scotch egg as direct comparison. Instead they should of put pork scratchings similar to America's pork rind or latin American's chicharon. Except they use the skin aswell as the fat so much much harder and with the hair of the pig still on. I love biltong though.

Just amazed how she has matured within a relatively short time especially coming from a whole different environment and culture. She handles her public appearance and interviews far better and maturely than even many older artistes. I think the environment she grew up in has to do with it.
