Man, you're missing like a third of the show when you take out that earbud. Stereo sound is more effective than I think people realize. Not to mention it creates an echo when it hangs down by the mic.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this (sorry if I am repeating), but the Sirens are magical water creatures from Greek mythology. Here they don't look like their myth counterpart but in both cases they do enchant people with their music (only in Greek Mythology Sirens would only be able to enchant men and would lead them to their death).

There are only a few thing's I have to say about this movie. One it is a major accomplishment on the animation teams part. Two Daniel Ingram is on point as usual. Three I love how the movie portrays Sunset as a character who is slowly redeeming herself. 4 I love how they show Lyra and Bon Bon together in a way that gets it past the radar. 5 because of this movie and fanfics Sunset is my favorite character and I ship TwilightxSunset. 6 I love all the background characters but especially Vinyl DJ-PON3. 7 in the next I hope Sonata the Siren with one ponytail is back in the next movie trying to redeem herself.

The toast line in Trixie's song is freaking legendary. (You'll know it when you hear it.)

You know you made a good point; all they needed to do was to sneak up on the Sirens when they were asleep and run off with their necklaces. Also how dependent are Sirens on that sort of energy to survive? Changelings seem to require emotional energy to survive; if the Sirens are the same, does this mean they're going to starve to death? I mean otherwise why would Starswirl have allowed them to take a feeding apparatus with them when they were banished?

I was surprised that you watched this before the Blu-Ray rip, but glad to hear that you got the cut scenes edited-in at least. As usual, I really enjoyed your reaction. As for your question near the end, I believe that the official response is that this is still going to be side-canon. As in, the events are canon, but they won't influence the main series. I think the writers said that they are trying to separate Equestria Girls from the main series as much as they can. If I'm wrong though, I certainly won't mind seeing Sunset Shimmer again soon, I loved her in this movie. I think that they did a stellar job with this movie, and I'd definitely rank it up there for among my favorite stuff that the series has produced.
