No matter how tough she was, she couldn't avoid the PTSD... And many suffer(ed) from it... I think it's one of the worst side effects of being in a war area...

The Russian movie “Battle for Sevastopol” is an incredible interpretation of Lyudmila's life! Some of the ways she received her wounds were altered (most likely to keep the PG-13 rating), however, the majority of it was correct.

As a female Marine who served in Iraq and was attached to an infantry unit, and then subsequently injured by an IED (similarish to a landmine) I feel a lot of a comradeship with her. I got asked if I wore makeup, how do u deal with your period during battle, did I have a ton of boyfriends, just a lot of sexist questions. It isn’t easy breaking glass ceilings, but it sure is fun!

You've never seen Fighting Girlfriend. Stalin accepted her proposal and went on to the frontlines. She became a laughing stock at first, until her actions at Smolensk. In intense fighting, her tank blew up several machine guns and artillery. When the tank was shot, she came out and despite heavy fire, she was able to fix the tank. News of her actions at the battle spread and everyone changed their view on her. Her last battle was in a village somewhere as part of the Leningrad-Novgorod Offensive. Again, she destroyed many machine gun nests and cleared tons of resistance in trenches. The tank again was struck by a German anti-tank shell. She leapt out and fixed the tank. After fixing, she was hit by shell fragments and lost consciousness. She was transported to a Field Hospital nier Kiev, and stayed in coma, two months after her death. The remaining crew of the tank went on to carry her legacy fighting, while Stalin gave her the Hero of the Soviet Union medal, becoming the first of only two women tank commanders who were awarded of such.

*After hearing how Lyudmila got to meet Eleanor in private* Lyudmila needed Eleanor and nothing was going to stop the two friends, not even the political forces of their two nations. Their friendship is likely what saved Lyudmila's life enough for her to live as long as she had post-war. Many WWII heroes on all sides went to their deaths even earlier then Lyudmila due to the lack of mental health understanding. She was blessed to have such a friend in the former First Lady.

00:28: " In a service made up almost entirely of men " *gasp* So Battlefield 5 was wrong? Ww2 soldiers *weren't* all women? MINDBLOWN

if tha armies are 100%,women are like 1.5%,but of those on the battlefield it would be liek 0.1%

Yasuo Main345 I’m pretty sure I see combat numbers of 3.8%-1.7% and 30%-17% in general (not 1.5% in general)... Your numbers are just incorrect man. Do research “0.1%” is just blatantly unrealistic for combat deployment numbers yet you show disdain to unrealistic representation.

The Soviet Union was the only country that had women in frontline duties in WW2 whom up to almost 1 million have served out of the total of 32 million troops that served the Soviet Armed Forces during WW2, which is basically more Soviet Women soldiers than the total amount of men of the entire Romanian Armed Forces combined. As for Battlefield 5... if the Dev's seriously wanted to put women in their ww2 games, atleast they should have done it right with the Soviet Union only having that option, and if they want to, add to groups like the French Resistance and Yugoslav Partisans which would also be historically accurate.

How Lyudmila got Into shooting was partially correct, her neighbors son thought she would be a poor shot, so they went to the local Civil Shooting range at the carnival, who hosted it. Her score was 47 of 50, which was seen by Commander Rector of her school in Kyiv State University in 1951, which they sent her to a 6 month marksmanship course, before sent on the 2nd front of Eastern Russia.
